I was looking for an easier round start than the one that was pictured in the book I bought--just the pictures weren't enough to help me. Thanks!

Finally! Thank you *SO* much! After 6 attemps at nalbinding, watching your video made it so clear! I am well on my way to having some nice, warm wool socks. And I love the beautiful Finnish that you are speaking, as well. :) Knitting was numbing my fingers but not with nalbinding. What a relief. Greeting and gratitude from Tennessee.

I love your videos. I am working on my first pair of mittens. I refer back to your videos often and especially when I feel like I am making mistakes. Thank you for such wonderful instructions.

After some more practice I think I’ll be ready to start my first pair of mittens! Do you have a video on how you did the decorations?

The round she creates is also a good start for the York Stitch. When done flat, it is just like a blanket stitch except that you go back two stitches to the left and come up from behind. The connection stitch for the circle is just picking up the first and last loops from the ends of the circle and making another stitch. If doing the York, you would not work it on your thumb, just come up from behind through the work.

Your ring/ wedding ring is beautiful, where did you get it? I like that you explain things twice even though I only understand English. Being able to watch your movements repeated is very helpful.

I have been following your tutorials recently and they are amazing, however I was wondering if you had any advice when it came to making socks with Nalbinding.

@Charlotte - I bought the needle(s) in a local handicraft store... but also Vuorelma's website seems to have similar needles on sale, and they have an email address in the "In English" tab. If you are interested, I think you could contact them.

To do the mittens in the background, did you do a round start or did you start from the wrist?

Hello! How do i continue making the mitten once I've finished the 4th increasing round? Do I just keep increasing. How do I continue?
    Thank you so much!

+Kristin VanCapelle Once you have the "cap" stop increasing. Make a tube to the top of the webbing of your thumb. Start adding to make room for your thumb. Skip 8 to 10 stitches -- don't pick up the previous row. This makes a slit that you add your thumb to later. Slightly decrease the tube when you get to your wrist to make it fit right. Go at least one inch below your wrist. Make the stiches smaller (you will have to add a few) as you taper off to end the mitten. Work the end back into the body. Then start a small tube for you thumb. You can either start at the nail end or the mitten end. If starting at the mitten end, leave a long (4 to 5 inch) tail, and make a tube that is about 1/2 inch bigger than your thumb is around. Continue the tube until you get to the end of your thumb, and then sew the end shut. Use the tail to fix any open spots or places where the pattern was weird. If it doesn't work, cut the thumb off carefully and try again. The Asle mitten has two to three inches of fringe on the arm end, just pulled through the last stitches. I've tried it, and it actually makes a nice seal between your coat and the mitten. It's flexible and fills in. Remember that you will have to wash the mittens eventually, and they will shrink a bit. The amount depends on your yarn and the stitch size. Wash in cold water with Eukanuba (from most yarn stores). Lay flat on a towel. Roll the towel up with the mittens inside. Step on it gently, roll 90 degrees, step on again. Dry in a cool place.

The yarn on the video? That was a long time ago, but I think the thickness was probably tex 180 x 3, and 100 % sheep wool, not superwash.
