    I do like the new less-tacitcal line, like the ranger shorts and the jeans. But I don't understand this gen2 pants. If you remove all features and pockets from the gen1 you basically got another jeans in better material and got rid of all edc function basically. With the ranger shorts you went from tactical to edc which is awesome...with this pants you went straight from tactial to casual and skipped the important edc step. But maybe it's just me. I will try to get one of the last urban gen1 to have some extra features for edc and the new jeans for the office.

      Less tactical is very important.
      I’d recommend looking at the discontinued 5.11 Ridge Line. These were 10/10 perfect.
      Please make look like NyCo dress pants.
      Add Double stack the front and back pockets. This way you have two pockets that look almost like one pocket.
      This with your wind stopper zip in liner would be incredible.
      Also. Please remove UFPRO off the back so you can legitimately wear these without looking tactical.
      If you make these business casual NY-CO pants as listed above they will be the pants of choice for everyone.

      @@Howard_Roark I actually do own 2 5.11 pants, not bad and the price was fair. If I don't like a 5.11 pocket...bad luck, happens. But when it comes to the higher end with the big prize tag I'd like to have them perfect since I want to buy them only once and only one. I'd really like to have some high quality edc pants I can wear everywhere...treckking and office. Just good material, more pockets than a jeans, some stretch and resistant material where needed, maybe a keyring...like the new ranger shorts in full size^^
      Keep in mind that the gen1 P-40 urban pants went out of production and I guess it will be hard to find one in a few months.

    I'm a huge fan of the Gen1 pants and I don't understand the concept of the Gen2 changes. The vent zippers with their thigh pockets were pretty low profile but high functionality in my opinion. Removing these zippers to make them less tactical but then adding the waist-flex system as the big innovation seems counter intuitive. This adds a very tactical look to the pants. Please don't phase out the Gen1 :)

    • @ufprogear
      @ufprogear  Месяц назад +1

      We totally get your point about the vent zippers and thigh pockets-they definitely added a lot of functionality.
      Our newest P-40 Urban Gen. 2 pants were primarily designed with the urban environment in mind. We aimed for an even more low-profile design compared to the Gen. 1. To achieve this, we streamlined the pants and made them as light as possible, which is why we decided to remove the zippers. The waist-flex system was added to enhance comfort and fit, not necessarily to add a tactical look.
      We really appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for future designs 😎🤙

    Love your products. Have 4 pairs of your pants. Very hard wearing. It is really sad that there is not a stockist in the UK that carries the whole range. I have tried to replace my windstopper lining as it is falling to pieces, but can not find in UK. I would like to purchase other products too, but the import duties make it prohibitive. When will UF Pro get a good stockist in the UK?

    These seem like a downgrade compared to the gen.1. I really liked the vent zippers, and the extra pocket placement was a lot better on the gen.1 as well.

      @@ufprogear I never meant any disrespect towards an individual, you guys have made some of the best products so far. But I do think applying the jeans design to these pants is a mistake. I hope you guys will consider maintaining the gen.1 line for the urban pants.

      We understand that the change in design may not be to everyone's taste. Our aim with the P-40 Urban Gen. 2 pants was to innovate and offer something new (same with the P-40 Blu-Flex Jeans), while still maintaining the high standards and functionality our customers expect.
      That said, your feedback is invaluable, and we will certainly take it into consideration as we continue to develop and refine our products. Rest assured, we are committed to delivering gear that meets the diverse needs of our community.
      Thank you again for your insights and for being a part of the UF Pro family.

    Not directly related to the Gen2 Urbans (though my mouse pointer is currently hovering over the "buy" button), but do you have plans to make the detachable belt available in the Striker XTs at all? I love my XT Gen3s and wear them around town as well, but an issue is that the permanently attached waist flex belt is just slightly too wide for most clips on US IWB holsters (which run from 1.5 to 1.75 inches), so I can't securely mount my appendix carry holster to the belt. Putting another belt over it causes too much printing. Though I know that concealed carry is not a primary design function of the XTs, it would be really cool if on future generations, you could make the belt detachable, as on the Gen2 Urbans, or else make it slightly narrower. Otherwise, you guys rock and I am a big fan of your products (my wallet isn't though)! 😀

    Great pants Gen 1, but you made Gen 2 useless because you removed the vent zippers/side pockets. Wanted to order just now, but then couldn't believe the pockets are gone... no order until Gen 3 with side pockets... waiting patiently

    I really don’t understand the choice to lose the discreet thigh pockets. Yes moving them still technically keeps the storage…..but then you have to remove stored items to sit down comfortably.
    Good to see they only have a single fly zipper…… the double zipper is not a good design choice (in my opinion).
    I tend to buy multiple pairs of trousers when I find the ones I like (which is getting more difficult these days). These would have been them, were it not for the thigh pocket removal.

    • @Smatnm
      @Smatnm Месяц назад

      I’m also going to add that an old injury makes me prone to sciatica, especially when there is pressure in that area……which makes the moved pockets likely useless to me.
