READ THIS: He KNOWS what happened and ALSO why communication was lost! I know someone in the coast guard who works with sea rescue. I hear there was a gas leak on it. they heard strange noises, like a rumbling, before they submerged and there were even signs of it before they began the descent but the crew "didn't want to say anything" because they are high profile clients. Well basically as they submerged the radio communication picked up on the sound it was a like kind of wet sound like a balloon deflating and they heard everyone inside of the submersible start to panic. So it is believed at this time from NASAR (North Atlantic Search and Rescue) that this was some kind of noxious gas, causing unconsciousness, and that's why the failsafe systems didn't kick in. Another report is that there was someone inside of the cabin freaking out because it is said there was liquid "spewing" all over the cabin and clogging the instrument panels. Apparently it is a really disturbing audio.
Apparently the submarine just descended straight into the hole where the grand staircase was(the leaked camera footage has it) and the whole way down they are playing the glorious Titanic theme music (this is to wow their customers and make it more theatric) but there is also in the background explosive diarrhea farting sounds and frantic screams of panic and disgust. so the submarine is just sealed in the middle of the titanic with all that diarrhea farting and gas trapped in it. The current thought is that one of the people on board was gassy and that's why they smelled it before they submerged, because they were "letting off some steam" or "crop dusting" in order to relieve bowel pressure and ultimately couldn't hold it in so had diarrhea farts on board and basically the whole cabin became filled with liquid excretions causing everyone to lose consciousness.

Even if they are still alive, it looks like they're on the bottom where it's going to take far longer than they have to even attempt to retrieve the sub and for whatever reason, whatever beacon they have isn't working if they're on the surface.
Everybody wants them to be alive, but the fact of the matter is that the likelihood at this point is more or less zero. There's a very real chance that even if they do hang on that they'll die knowing that their bodies will be recovered and nothing more.

Nobody was listening until a day and a half ago, The ability to detect these underwater sounds is from a combination of deep sea microphones combined with a liaison flight above head. I'm sure those assets where only delivered to the search effort 48 hours after the initial outage in communication had occurred.
I mean dude, I'd agree totally, But it might be the case that they started making the bangs shortly after they where lost and it's only now that we are capable of hearing them.

After hearing some of the comments, I couldn't bring myself to single out anyone and their assumptions. You can really see people grasping with the concepts behind deep sea travel for the first time and most of what they've been commenting is extremely devolved from reality.
The pressure of, If I remember correctly, something around the realms of 130 atmospheres is what they are currently submerged within. Suspected to be around the 3000m mark, The weight of the water around them is crushing any autonomous vehicle which has attempted to plummet to these depths in search. The shifting stratospheric planes with currents carrying away any object travelling vertically in unpredictable directions is crazy. The lack of common sense safety measures such as proper vessel colouration in order to retain maximum visibility during this exact kind of situation being completely ignored. The thing is white, It should be a luminous orange.
My money is on some kind of electronics failure causing a disconnect between the hardware and software. It could be the wireless controller simply not connecting since it's a cheap piece of shit that I wouldn't even use on a flight sim - I would shit a brick if all of this is through some kind of catastrophic failure in their $30 remote (Proudly stated as the CEO's only method of interacting with the onboard software)... People have been conjecturing that this delay in raising the alarm may be due to a test run of the sub which had been conducted previously-- during this test, the sub lost communication a similar amount of time after launch as it did on this most recent run. This might have caused topside operators to assume that the sub was not in danger based on precedent and only really start to worry as the sub didn't show after its scheduled return. And who knows, maybe the sub was in fact not in real danger for some hours after losing comms, but if you ask me, the sub should've been equipped with reliable communications before ever taking members of the public.

READ THIS: They KNOW what happened and ALSO why communication was lost!

I’ve been glued to my phone since this tragedy unfolded… Soooo, I’ve got a bead on the rescue timeline somewhat.
The experts onboard the submersible knew it would take a considerable amount of time for the rescue to get “ in place “.
The Coast Guard expert praised the decision to bang at that particular time since earlier banging would have been in vain and would have cost energy and extra oxygen.
I was in the Navy decades ago…..
I knew the Coast Guard was setting up the perimeter and updating the Navy…… the Navy has highly classified “ sea toys “ that can do amazing things involving detection.
( they rather keep it……. low key )
I am confident…… they will get these guys in time…………. It’s not easy…..

Yes however the coast guard did not say as soon as we got better hearing capabilities we heard these specific noises, if anything they have been advising that the noises that were reported by the search and rescue group and propagated by the news for clicks could really be anything. They would have specified they were heard as soon as capabilities were available. It could be they are narrowing down to anything and everything to cross the Ts. You have to pay attention to the lingo the source uses. This captain is experienced. In a search like that you don’t want to miss details and report everything and anything but unless they come out confident it’s probably nothing. This reported is def irritated and wants to hear what she wants because that’s what’s selling. Before we know anything the family will be notified, miracles do happen but this is likely a tragedy already. And honestly lord forgive me but if I were there I pray God would give me the least painful death possible the amount of misery if still alive is inconceivable.

The reason these people died is because of people like Ashleigh who cut off and interrupted the critical negative naysayers who were warning about the safety of this vessel. Imagine being Stockton Rush and having to explain to everyone onboard "why we're dying right now because of me." They're onboard because they believed in him and looked up to him for his charismatic and positive communication abilities about safety. Often the people who are polite, non-critical and cultivate a positive and attractive image are actually the most evil because they're forced to maintain that positivity by being untruthful or selectively truthful about certain things. Just look at media personalities across mainstream and social media, most of them are corrupt because they'll lose opportunities if they don't play the game. Even for someone who is small it is easy to become compromised right away. I'm one of the most critical people you'll ever run into and when I try to do the smallest things and I can see how I'm easily compromised and have to omit truthful details just to resolve some situation. Stockton Rush became fully corrupted by his own positive image and the necessity to maintain it. The problem is that a lot of people operate like robots and use a very simplistic algorithm when observing the world, they basically evaluate everything they hear by using these criteria:
    A) Is it praising something? Is it praising me?
    B) Is it critical, impolite?
If the answer is B) then the person is rejected, downvoted, censored, blocked, banned, fired. Humanity is held back from advancing into the future because our culture is antidialectical and foundationally based around teaching people to hate the person who posted option B) and to highly value option A). But the deepest problem is that option B) was the person who was trying to improve things. Try posting a critical comment on RUclips and watch it get shadow-banned, hidden, or downvoted to the bottom. Post a gushing positive comment praising the creator and watch yourself get 74 upvotes. That's how Stockton Rush was able to kill people with the assistance of people like Ashleigh.

I'm not saying we shouldn't try. I just find it odd how there have been missing fishing boats, people trapped in collapsed buildings and people stranded from floods that received way less new coverage and way less money and resources spent on trying to save them. I also never seen news anchors show this much empathy to missing people. Like they are really aggressive with the showcase of empathy it oftentimes feels forced. I guess billionaire's really do get special treatment.

Basic math. It took them 2 days to sail to the site. They knew it would take at least that long for rescue ships to arrive. Tapping requires physical exertion witch increases oxygen consumption and also CO2 production. The intelligent thing would be to wait to tap until it was most likely to be heard and to do it at regular intervals.

I respect the Captain as an honest and realistic commentator. In the past twenty-four hours I've read everything I can about this sub situation, and I've watched every RUclips video I can possibly fit into my day. Yesterday I was feeling extremely sad and emotional about all this. After learning so much about this submersible, the company doing these "tourist" adventures , and the guy who founded all this stuff, I am now mostly sad only for those people who love the four passengers. One can immediately see and sympathize with with these folks enduring such fear, sorrow and sadness for the people inside the sub. But I must admit, upon learning how irresponsible, arrogant and so very priviledged the man running the operation has been towards safety measures, the practical standards and regulations associated with this kind of thing, and his monstrous disregard for so much plain common sense in preparation for, and in response to past problems with the operation, I now feel real contempt for him. As for the passengers and their awful fate, I still feel the deepest regret and sorrow for them, but which is also tempered by own knowledge and experience as a risk-taker myself, that doing stuff like this is indeed risky, and whenever I have done this kind of thing, I've always been ready to be accountable for my decisions and ready to face the very real possibility of things going wrong. I can only admire these four guys if they have gone into this in the same spirit.

I have great sympathy for the 3 passengers and the submersible pilot.
Not so much for the founder and CEO Stockton Rush.
I don't usually find dark humor funny but somebody got me with it yesterday.
It was in regards to sounds resembling banging on the submersible hull being picked up by sonar. Where in an SOS situation crew take turns banging on the hull every half hour for 3 minutes as hard as they possibly can.
Well anyway this person suggested that the passengers take turns banging on the CEO every half hour for three *hard* minutes instead.
