Despite what some say of Vivaldi writing the same concerto 700 times, he
actually writes many varied concertos, they just all have one thing in
common. They have a sound that could belong to no other than Vivaldi.
It's not that all his concertos sound alike, it's that when you hear a
piece by Vivaldi there is no mistaking it, other composers like ivor
stravinksy who tried to belittle Vivaldi's works were just jealous
because they'd never attain such a status.
    The idea that Vivaldi's
works are all alike is either stupidity or ignorance, in his critical
work The Four Seasons, one of the most recognizable pieces ever written
shows 4 distinctly different and wonderful concertos that dispell any
quote for stravinksy or any other composer. Bach himself loved Vivaldi's
works, going so far as to transpose several for harpsichord and
clavichord so he could play them too.

Sounds a bit like the joke that Neil Diamond only recorded one 3 hour song. He's been releasing cuts from it ever since. No, Vivaldi is unique. And glorious.

Anyone that speaks ill of Vivaldi's music is blaspheming anyway...so I see no need to defend it. His music is celestial and above that.

Why is the name of the concerto cyclus "La Boemia" ? Does it mean "bohemia" in English, "Böhmen " in German? Was the music written for an Bohemian nobile man? I would like it to know? Very virtuously and aso musically plyed.
