I think Patsy looked down at this with a big old beautiful smile on her face. Not many can do justice to this song, but these young ladies certainly did.
I still remember watching this on new years eve with my parents and some friends and being completely gobsmacked. I love Jools' Hootenanny and I watch it every year but I can't for the life of me remember who else was on that year as the Secret Sisters completely stole the show
@lanc3fight4freedom You call it an electric pedal steel guitar used on most Country and Western recordings going back to early days of C&W music...ie Roy Acuff, Hank Williams, Slim Whitman, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Pete Drake and on and on...regards
It's very nice, but it's a shame that our very own, home grown Haley Sisters aren't featured on mainstream tv. Look them up on RUclips and make your own minds up.
Sorry to disagree, but it's definitely a pedal steel, with pedals and knee levers. The changes performed by B.J. would not be possible without them. For a superb British player check out David hartley onRUclips - so good that U.S.A. Rains steel guitars make a 'Hartley' model.
The girl playing guitar looks like a female Aiden Grimshaw. If that's the name of the guy from X factor or whatever it is. She's obviously ten times better though...
Couldnt remeber their names. Loved this cover for few years .just re found them ❤
Such glorious harmonies! Excellent version of this old classic!
Absolutely the best version of this song since the great Patsy Cline.
Great Job Ladies! Im a Patsy fan and everyone's right, she would be proud!

It's nice to see two young ladies focusing on their music; not the flashy-mtv-style.
Beauties!
@DaveThrillbillie I checked it out and David Heartly is really GOOD!! Thanks for it!
I wonder where from First Aid Kit got their inspiration... allthough they are phantastic too!
@nelslund Brian John COLE, 17-6-1946, is an English pedal steel gitarist!!
@willg0opl who could mistake that for a lap steel? lol It's pretty plain it's a pedal... I love the steel!

See how good they sound with country backing, mabe there will more country and less folk or "new age".
