Thanks so much for ur feedback! Didn’t think u would remember me, but yes i am Nik the Top Comment guy. 😅 Actually i was hoping u would pick my newest Demo, which i also saw in this Video haha… maybe it would’ve fited more 😅 (got a better version of it now tho than the one i sent)
Some absolutely amazing Demos here. The quality of music coming from new Producers is just getting better all the time. You can really hear the time and effort that has been put into these tracks. Bipolur - In the night. is my Favourite from this listening session. MM team, you need to sign this up !. A real club banger.
Luke, this vlog was so helpful for me as a growing producer to observe how a record label discovers music. It inspires me to strive towards getting an original sound up on Mixmash! I noticed a question has come up for me that I wonder if you might answer? So far I've only been using splice vocals... it was a nice starting point for me but I'm ready to take the next step to start working with vocalists. I'm just not sure where to start... Any suggestions / words of wisdom?
Laidback Luke thank you for playing an amazing set at Timeclub Costa Mesa. Myself and my Girfriend had a blast hope too see you again at Timeclub take care Luke and as always be safe! 🙏🏼
Hey Luke, I am a DJ and Producer, but I still cannot get over the hump. How do you DJ "Country, Rock, Disco" and so forth, is it only about BPM? Or should I stick to genres, and swap genres throughout, What about keeping tempo, should I do a Rise and fall BPM for each Genre?? Please help, It's killing my business!
Im not a dj or a producer but i think that you need to find 2 different song that have a same beat type and similar bpm and you need to find a "safe spot" to start the mix for another song, like you need to find a part of the song where theres only a beat or a fade. Rock mix is pretty hard since the bass and the beat is "quieter" and the beat keeps changing
Country is also hard since theres a possibility that theres no beat at all, so you need to mix with the treble itself ( by the mean of "mixing with treble", i think that you need to mix it with the sound of other instruments "guitar, drum, etc")
Hello Lucas this my First comment to your vlog but i just want to let you know that you're the one who inspired me to be a dj when i was in Holland(2009) Not because you're best dj but how you live your life..
Artwork tracks, I believe, show a higher level of dedication to the track and deserve better attention. Not always true, but it shows a work ethic over just the music production.
Hey Luke...one more question! In your opinion - what makes a Mixmash record, a Mixmash record? How would you describe the unique sound that your label brings to the world?
Hey luke Im new to producing house music, I come from hip hop/trap backround and I was wondering why you wouldnt recommend using splice vocals. thanks !
@@assassinatingindividual6032 No. No vocal samples with free public domain vocals. There is no point releasing a track if anyone and everyone out there can then sample your track and make copies of track segments. Many labels are now taking this stance.
Thanks loads for that Luke, I'm working really hard on getting my sound right at the moment and yeah I don't mind sending my tracks of to be professionally done but I have been watching your other vids and have started referencing loads, that's one of my older tracks I have improved since then here is my latest Listen to I DONT NEED NO ONE ( rock guitar i made with amp, I will be going over the mix when rested my ears ) by Micky Stardust on #SoundCloud soundcloud.app.goo.gl/2N3Sx

I find these videos really useful for providing vicarious feedback for my own production aspirations! Loving the video vibes, too!
RIP every producer sending splice vocal tracks to labels wondering why they don’t hear back
We have been declining them for the last 2yrs. The risk is too high.
@@dj_paultuk7052 hey Paul, how about sending them from another sample pack that is not a splice one but at the same time not that well known?

hey Luke are you taking demos for your alter ego dark channel?
I would say definitely. It would be worth sending Luke a message on Twitter. It may take a week or so for a reply but he will reply to you.
why there isn't the forum anymore?
Dope demos!

Romi Lux's was my favorite. Know where I can find it?
Thanks for the feedback! 🙏🏻❤️
Do you know what the problem with splice vocals is?
cool. feedback van laidback luke
always good vibes here
What's the song playing in the background every time you give feedback in this vlog?
You should have really hectic life my brother......
Making your own music, doing shows and finding new talent for your label. What a life
You should react to the videos you made when the pandemic started
With or without Art work can be 50/50 maybe?
I don't have Splice, but what's wrong with Splice vocals? Just overused?
I think it’s just the fact that someone can easily find the original vocals for the track
