- Which dragon is the largest? To determine dragon sizes, research from both the internet and books was conducted, resulting in the creation of a comprehensive list. However, not every dragon's age and size are explicitly detailed, so estimations were necessary to fill in the gaps, leading to slight variations. In the show, Viserys also mentions Ghiscar, Valryon, Vermithrax, Essovius and Archonei... Those must have been Aenar Targaryen's dragons that left Old Valyria before its doom. According to the books, Aenar left Valyria with five dragons, Balerion being the youngest and the smallest of them. Four of the named dragons must have been Aenar's dragons, and one of them must have been a dragon born on Dragonstone after the doom, like Meraxes and Vhagar.
Yeah, probably. But we don't know detailed info about Aenar's dragons other than Balerion. And, as you said, Balerion was the youngest and smallest of all.
Sorry to say but the show runners didn’t have enough information on the Targaryen dragons so they made these up with some little help from George. He then wrote fire and blood near the end of the show.

For context, series Drogon in s8 is the size of Caraxes and Meleys

It would've been nice to add the dragons ages, bc even though the show made them bigger, Deanerys' dragons were only little children, not even 10 yrs old I think by the end of GoT 😉
When it comes to the dragon's sizes, for HOTD is hard to imagine that some.of these dragons were indeed huge and wen they say huge they meen HUGE !!!!, where as in GOT Danny's dragons were seriously small, ofc over time they grew, how ever since the books cam to life the Show changed all of that and the dragons were all different sizes than discribed in the book. Which is honnestly not bad bc i do like their size scaling for most of them.

The Cannibal might be the dragon hatchling given to King Maegor, yet he's refused to bond with. Hence, its behaviour towards other dragons. He wanted his father's dragon. Balerion is one of the symbols of the Targaryen Dynasty. The Cannibal was betrayed and abandoned by his own rider and claimant.
Or he could have been prince Viserys (Jaehaerys's middle brother) dragon as it would add up.
Rhaena had dreamfyre who hatched before the Bronze fury and silverwing while Aegon (the uncrowned) had to claim quicksilver, leaving the cannibal to viserys who was tortured by Maegor's wife which would explain the cannibal hatred of targaryen dragons but also explain why he is the loner type. Think about it. viserys was left behind by his mother and siblings to be tortured for 3 or 6 days. Of course, his dragon would be psychologically traumatize.

@@Cookieprclashed Cannibal doesn't play an important role in the Dance of Dragons. It's up to the producers to feature him. We probably won't see him because of budget problems
