Wonderful Jonas and Happy New Year! What a neat surprise for your next adventure. Your setting and choice of “new” vehicle are exemplary! I completely get why you are taking on the Toyota - variety is the spice of life! Looking forward to the next video. BTW, we live in the USA now but, my wife grew up in Southwest Africa (now Namibia) and we look forward to visiting her childhood country soon. Enjoy!!

Happy new year to you too Jeffrey! I'm planning to take the cruiser to Namibia next year. It's kind of a long drive from where I am in Mpumalanga but driving in the dunes must be awesome! How knows, maybe we'll cross paths!

@@jonasfreitag Hey Jonas. Am curious. We often travel to the EU with a central stepping off point of DE. We would most likely go to Namibia from DE. When we go to Namibia, what is your preferred airline and what is the approximate cost? We also thought of taking a nice slow scenic train from Cape Town into Namibia.

@@jeffreygriffith6399 So, at the moment I only book with Lufthansa as they have a no questions asked quick money back Corona cancellation policy. I’m not sure what they’re connections to Windhuk are however. I usually fly FRA-JNB. What I could picture being really cool is renting a truck camper in JNB and then driving up into Namibia through the Kalahari, maybe coming back through Botswana. I rented a LC79 with a decent canopy and roof top tent 2 years ago and drove it around South Africa. That was an awesome adventure and I wish I had had more time then to go up to Namibia. The rental company was called “Bushlore”.

@@jonasfreitag cool. Good info! We use Lufthansa to travel to EU (Miles & More). And FRA is easy to access from the Sauerland where we stay. My wife lived in Tsumeb and has neat stories and photos from her time there. Yes an overland expedition would be fabulous. Safe travels!

Family owned one for 35 years. On the dash the AM/FM radio went into the hole on the top and on the bottom hole right besides the AC there was a cassette tape deck.
