Thanks for watching!

Best part of waking up - Folgers in your cup
Another great cover of a real country song played and sang by a real country singer songwriter and musician thanks for the music Trey respect from your no1 fan in ireland
Good afternoon Craig Hensley I love your music appreciate the content love the tune you did for Tennessee early for so if you look I like what you did and I love that carterton you get with Earl scrubs and now the other guy the other singer I can't pronounce his name all right you were on the Grand ole opry then so wish you well keep putting out more hits and I'll keep viewing
You dirty dawg 🙋🏼♂️ one of these days we’re gonna get you and Ol’ Robbie here in Indianapolis. Going to see your other Treybrother shred faces this weekend at Phish.
Great cover, I like that you stay close to the original but adding your own flair here and there. It looks like you've been preferring that PreWar lately.
Always on of my favorites! Great cover!!! (And love that Pre-War 12 fret!!!)
Awesome as always. I'm adding this to my list of songs to transcribe for sure.
great job on a great song thank you
Du bluegrass à l’état pure
Bravo et merci Trey
Great tune and very awesome picking! Thanks for sharing your genius, bless ya!
Great rendition!! What a gifted musician you are, & singer!! Thanks.
There never was a hoss like Trey Hensley
Excellent cover of this Jimmy Driftwood song!
Dang! I'm a BlueChip guy too. I use them on my Beard Vintage R and D-18, but I sound nothing close to this. Then again, not too many people do. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Trey, you make my day with every new video..! Thanks.
Great job. Enjoyed the singing and the pickin👍
Awesome playing and singing
This is just a super fine rendition of one of my favorite tunes. I've been listening to the "Circle" version of "Tennessee Stud" for fifty years, so it's pretty much the standard for me, and you're more than equal to the cause. If you ever consider requests, my other favorite Doc Watson piece is "Deep River Blues". I enjoy the Emmanuel/Isbell cover and I'll bet yours would have just the right bit of wiggle in it, too.
Man this has to be my favorite rendition of this song. Great job!
Awesome Trey!
Hi, wieder mal richtig geil! Was noch geiler wäre, ein Song von Randy Travis , it's still over you"und ein Duett mit Randy Travis ....BEST ever !
Great rendition, I always loved this song, it's so different.
This put a big ole vermont plow boy smile on my face Trey!!! Subbed and liked! This is one we play when the boys get together on saturday nights!! :D:D:D Love it man! :D:D:D Someday I want perform as good as you do!! :D:D:D This is perfection! :D:D:D
Hi Trey, I am your cousin Rob. You definitely must be my uncle Dean's boy. You both play better than I ever could.
Thanks Trey, nicely done. Top song, and that is a great album, love Jimmie's opening. I have the CD, LP and cassette versions. I have also have the other two releases. Good as well, but the first is the best.
Great job!
Well done Trey. Doc would be proud of your version.
So would the song's original artist and writer, Jimmy Driftwood.
You’re the man trey!
Love this tune 💜
Very nice vocal!
Really like it in the key of D....thanks! I'm gonna do it like that also.... 😉
Great love the rendition, would love to see a tutorial 😀
Really awesome ! As always Trey!
Great cover Trey. Have you tried the Dadario XS strings and if so what do you think of them? I know you primarily use Dadario Nickel bronze. Do those strings last a good while?
You didn't ask me but that's what I use...lol. Just wanted to throw my two cents in. I think they're really good. They seem to take awhile to get rid of the "New String Sound" compared to regular Phosphor Bronze but they don't seem to wear as fast either. You can tell a little difference but doesn't seem too different than the XT's. To me anyway. I prefer either one to regular one's but I'd stick with XS's given a choice.
@@kevinbrianjohnsonmusic Thanks I’ve been debating on going with XS or Elixir Nanoweb which I’ve used for years.
Thank you very much! I really haven't given the XS much of a try...I did put a set on before a gig a year or so back and really liked them, but I didn't like them more than the Nickel Bronze. The NB do seem to last a good while and they sound good the whole time. I usually kill other strings pretty quickly, but I get more life out the NBs. I'll try the XS again sometime and see if I have a stronger opinion...
Thanks again!
@@TreyAHensley Thank you very much. I was just wondering are the nickel bronze strings as rough as the Martin retros? I know the Martin retros are a Monell‘s string which is what I’ve been using for a while and I like them only thing I don’t like about them is the course feel they have which I guess you get that with about any Martin string.
@@donhoward1975 honestly, I don’t have a lot of experience with the Martin Monels…but I do think the NBs are smooth. They don’t feel coated, but they aren’t “rough”. They are also a little slinkier feeling to me, like they don’t have as much resistance as normal mediums. I use mediums no matter which strings I use, but the NBs are more comfortable. And it could be a mind thing…but I’m 100% sold on the NB’s. Haha
Always look forward to see what you're going to play next 👍😎👍 I can't play nearly as good as you but at least I got little buts from listening to you and add to my limited playing 😂
Trey, you are an amazing and wonderfully talented musician and singer! I love this song, too, and I like yours the BEST! I'm glad I found you here, so I could subscribe! Oh, I have that NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND album (CD), also a double CD! Thank you! God bless, Charles
this guy has a nice voice
Great performance Trey, thanks so much!
Love it! Question ,Trey..do you ever crash? I mean do you ever do more than one take? I think probably not👍
love it !
Great job my friend !! Which Guitar are you playing ? Is it a Martin 12 fret??? I love 12 fret guitars ! Being over 70 the shorter reach really helps ! Keep up the great playing my friend !!! You remind me of Norman Blake playing too ! Thank you Thank you Thank you !!! Keep it up !!!
Awesome!
Hey Trey. What do you use to record, soundwise?
Cheers from Sweden 🤠
Hey, I’m just using my iPhone to record video and audio. No additional gear.

Fine version. But remember Jimmy Driftwood:he wrote it & he sings it right ruclips.net/video/4TJjFEGNKlk/видео.html
Does anyone know what brand or maker of guitar Trent is playing here
It’s a Pre-War, Co. 12-fret 28-style dread.
@@TreyAHensley Thanks Trent love your work. She sounds like a dream brother
Killer
Great job but your missing the best verse . The part where he rides around the Indians 😂👍🏻. If anybody doesn’t know it go listen to the original
I guess times were different back in 1959 when Jimmy Driftwood wrote and originally recorded it.
@@Dulcimerist yep different times for sure. Was no politically correct bullshit.
You have too many guitars brother. Lol
No. Such. Thing.
