This is a great video. The narration is excellent, regardless of what one post says. It give detail, without being overwhelming. What a beautiful and historically important neighborhood! BRAVO 👏👏👏👏
I lived in Brooklyn Heights for more than a decade before my life took me to other shores. I miss it so very much. Thank you for the walking tour. My life on Henry Street was more than wonderful. I used to wander that route and marvel in the beauty and the history. It is understandable that you skipped over Cher's home in Moonstruck. There are so many famous sites to see. You touched my heartstrings today.
Absolutely one of the best guides I've ever seen !! Not much but enjoy a cup of coffee. Next time I travel to New York I will definitely book your tour.
We are glad you enjoyed the video, Ryoei, and thank you for the support. We also hope to show you around New York City when you get here. Very nice tour & I love your videos. Funny story, I've been to NYC many times over the years and in Brooklyn. I live in the Netherlands, about 10 miles from Breukelen. I think I've only been there once.
That was absolutely excellent. I particularly like that John mentioned the streets he walked by name. Most videos don't. As far as Henry Ward Beecher, the great man, would love to hear a video on Victoria Woodhull and Beecher's alleged (?) affair..

The Casino may have had the first indoor tennis court in the USA (the video says it opened in 1905), but the Tennis Court Oath of the french revolution was signed in 1789 at an indoor tennis court (that had been built in 1686 at Versailles).
Is 'Arthur Miller's birthplace' being used metaphorically in this tour? He was born in Harlem. I think the locations pointed out here were places he lived?
I love New York City. If Brooklyn was it’s own city it would actually be the 4th largest city in America 🇺🇸 not the 5th, since Brooklyn has more people than Houston & Houston is America’s 4th largest city.

8:45 a house of ill repute then became a monastery of ill repute lol

Best NYC tour yet! Thank you!
I am so impressed by John
I am a licensed tour guide in Greece and am planning to visit NY so I watched John's video and it is the best!!
Lots of great information and history in such quick succession!
Going there in a month - had planned out the same walk but you covered more than I was aware of.
We have a self-guided tour that John's route mostly followed. freetoursbyfoot.com/brooklyn-heights-tours/

Nice tour walk 👍✔
You are awesome, John! So informative and I thank you. 😊
We should get John on more videos, right?

I flinched when he said that.

👍👍👍😎
5 cities🤣
ok that narrator is annoying.
Not a bad tour. The editing however, or lack thereof, around the Plymouth Church, made this video seem unprofessional and amateurish.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the editing.
been there, done that. not for me
beautiful amazing neighborhood. whats wrong with you
not for brown people
