As someone in her early 40s, who grew up grunge, I think Dom might not realize that there are more "escences" after adolescence. For me, becoming a parent and going through matresence changed me forever. The old me died and there was this new person staring back at me. I was scared and angry and defiant. I found Yungblud and the music spoke to me in ways I remember feeling in my youth. Those feelings come again. It's not just one coming of age. There's been several breakdowns and rebirths in me, and I want him to know that his music isn't just reaching the "yung," it's reaching PEOPLE.
