Your knickerbocker Andy at 12:00 is the one I had when I was a little boy in the 1960s. I loved my little friend so much. Once an itinerate photographer came to our home to do photos of the family, He was doing shots of me and at one point asked if I had a favorite toy I'd like to be photographed with. Of course I wanted my little friend to sit with me. So for years there was a portrait in my grandparent's house of my three year old self hugging my Raggedy Andy as he sat on my knee. I have several stories about my little friend but too long to post here. I will say that after I was an adult, he was at one point damaged beyond repair, due to misuse by some relatives, which really broke my heart. So when ebay came about, I finally tracked down and purchased an identical one. He now sits on a rocking chair in my bedroom and I'm not ashamed to say he still brightens my day with his bright smile, and is always there when I need a hug.
I bought my first Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls today. They were sold as a set, but when I got them home I realized they were made by different companies, about 15 years apart. They're such cheerful, friendly dolls!
I’ve been collecting Raggedy Ann dolls for my little girls for years but sadly I’ve lost most of them, my brother lived with me until recently he’s tried to move his many meth head girlfriends in and they’ve stolen my dolls thinking they could sale them for drugs. I miss my collection. She even stole my little girls favorite one she sleeps with it’s a black Andy doll.
Actually it was called Annabelle that was based on true story but they are not possessed but the larger one(same size as the giant stuffed animal) was at the museum
Took years ago my sisters ex Raggady Ann 16 inch tall ,from the attic and attempted to clean it .I was going to try to fix it up.I did a stupid thing , i put her in the washer.After words opened up the washer and she was destroyed ,the stuffing was all out of the body and and the body was torn to shreds
Oh my yes you never ever put the older dolls in a washing machine if so you always put them inside of a pillow case. But if you still have the remains all hope may not be lost if you have the remains let me know.
+stevendyal91 i put one from the 60 s in the washer she already hade a hole in her head we soad it once after we had to do it again she was messed up when we got her her wig was messed up we glued it back 😛
just do it it doesn't matter what you do you could just be walking down the street and someone's probably going to make fun of you that's just the world we are in today no matter what you do there's always going to be an a****** just don't worry about them because you will find people who you relate with and who appreciate you and the love and happiness you get from that will outweigh any a****** criticism
