This has been a rough month, not just for the Golden family, but for the Oak Ridge Boys as well. Not only did Rusty pass away, but a few days after, Joe Bonsall passed away as well. My condolences go to the Oaks, the Golden family, and the Bonsall family.
Back in 2005 Rusty sent me a free Golden Reunion T-shirt signed by he and William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys. Great memories. Rusty was so kind. Lots of Love and prayers go out to him and his family during this sad time. God bless you and we'll meet in Heaven one day. ❤ 🙏
Rusty gave me the shirt off his back, literally. It said John Beer and had antlers on a keg. We were at a show in Pulaski, TN with Chris Hennessee and I spilled some stuff on my shirt, and he gave me his and grabbed a spare out of his car. Rusty was a true cat. The realest of musicians. The reason Nashville is Nashville... or was Nashville. He won't be forgotten.
This has been the roughest year for the oak ridge boys. I feel so bad that on what is supposed to be a happy memorable year as they retire to lose 2 family members and 1 singer. My prayers are with all the oak ridge boys and their families. Been listening to them sing for 50 years. Been a great 50 years of music.

We loved seeing Rusty at the church He would play in Pensacola, Fl...We also had the privilege of meeting his mother about a year before she passed. They were great people.. Prayers go out to the family. so sorry to hear of his passing!

5:49 my heart goes out to the Goldens during this difficult time. I lost my youngest son Luke 10 yrs ago this year. Its the hardest thing ive ever been thru. No parent should have to lose a child. 😢 God Bless
