Never saw your channel until I placed my order with yourselves earlier this evening (for a Quantic). Can't wait to receive it Friday. Really informative videos, thank you. 👍
Nothing like advertising yourself Chris! Lol. Great effect with the floating helmet by the way. Really enjoy your reviews as they are so detailed. Thanks guys.
Chris, at 10:40 you mention that you'd wished it didn't have a spoiler. I wonder why you are not offering the Arai Profile-V, it's exactly what you describe. It's simple, understated and by far the most comfortable Arai in the range (mainly due to the brushed nylon interior).
I have this helmet and love it. For the most part. It's super comfy and fairly quiet, and Cardo integration was fast and painless. But I don't like the Arai mechanism for the visor and especially the tinted "over" visor. There are much better solutions out there. The Arai mechanism doesn't seem to offer any benefits that offset the relative difficulty of operating the visor.
Apparently the rear spoiler creates a low pressure area behind the helmet which serves to draw the warm air out of the helmet to assist in ventilation. I've heard it works very well so I wouldn't mind that feature.
Amazing review. I'm just wondering how tight should a properly fitted helmet be. I've used my uncles ARAI Medium, while my head is a 61cm.. It put me in a lot of pain, so I know that's not my size. But I'm torn between the L and XL lid. I know I can remove a layer of cheekpad, plus they gotta get softer over time. Can you give me some hints for the fit?
Both L and XL fit, although the L is much tighter on my head, but I think bearable for now.. But I only had it for like 2 mins in the shop. I need to go again,
@@manbiteslife311061cm is an XL for sure. if it still doesn't fit comfortably, maybe the shape is not right for u, try XL of other brands with different shapes like HJC and see how they feel
Are you familiar with MIPS, the 6D helmet tech, and the Bell Flex ? Are those all comparable systems ? 6D claims to be the only helmet capable of providing such protection
MIPS and flex mostly move on a linear plane while 6d moves in every direction which helps in every facet of concussion protection. Lol I know someone who has crashed in both Aria/6D helmets and claims he had a very shitty concussion in the Arai that had him bedridden for days meanwhile the 6D had him recovering hours later with what he thinks felt like a much harder hit to the helmet. Arai has ancient patented "tech" that works but obviously they would rather hope companies trying to push the envelope will shrivel up and die so they can keep producing the same overpriced helmets over and over and technically be the safest. 6d is literally that nightmare company but it's so under the radar you could hardly call it a threat. Biggest reason I'd look into this quantic helmet is the combination of venting/comfort but if safety and concussion is your concern, I'd go with 6d
Great vid. Now considering purchasing this helmet but not sure of the pro shade being on outside and easily getting dirt on it. I’ve seen some ads on photochromatic pin-locks? Any thoughts on these if you’ve tried them?
in my experience, arai always has the same fit between models . so if u already fit comfortably with TX4, you will fit perfectly with the quantic..i hope it help u
Yes, colours on website www.motolegends.com/motorcycle-helmets/arai/quantic Arai, Shoei. Schuberth, Shark have 22 06 models out. Other companies May de but those are the ones we offer!
Not as round as a Schuberth? Which model? C3Pro is more round than a C4 for instance, even within Schuberth shape varies. I wear a C3Pro in XXXL, this Arai won’t fit.......I thought Arai were famous for fitting all heads? Very disappointing. Back to Lidl for my next helmet I guess.
I so badly wish I lived near this shop. So obvious they are committed to being as awesome as possible. Great video as always

Best helmet on the planet
What about the interior? What type of headliner does it use? Is it removable? Surprised you didn't mention any of that.
The interior pads are removable
What head-shape does this helmet fall into? Long oval, intermediate oval?
intermediate to a very slight round shape

I need a new helmet for my Yamaha R6, i need a helmet confortable and a quiet helmet…nxr or quantic???
As I was trying to figure out how the helmet can float with no support at the bottom I noticed the zipper is open.
I noticed that too. I think he is playing dirty tricks on us

will be interesting to see how these new 22.06 helmets perform in the SHARP tests. if they allow their helmets results to be published.
Sharp test are now outdated.
@@nicksokolis6343 their test is still the most thorough though?
@@TheShubbah From what I have goatherd the new ECE testing is the most thorough now.
The new ECE now exceeds the 5 star result in the SHARP test.
Sena and Cardo mesh systems aren’t compatible? That’s ridiculous in 2021 :/
Take a look at the Sena 10U for Arai if you can still find one, but this kit requires you to partially remove the liner and reinstall the liner.
It may just be the proportions but the field of view looks quite slim
I wear a SignetX size small.. What is the shape difference?
Can you confirm that the Quantic has the same fit (in the same size obviously) as my current Tour-X4?

What are the boots straight down from Chris's elbow on his left?
Chris, does the quantic come in different colours ?and are there many makers come forward with 2206 models so far?
Yes, colours on website www.motolegends.com/motorcycle-helmets/arai/quantic

Is the breath guard removable?
I have this helmet. Breath guard not removable, but it is quite small so don’t really notice it
Fantastic review.
How is the helmet floating 🤯
I had the same doubt
Electromagnets and some sensors.
Lovely review
Which pinlock do I need as I want a dark grey pinlock so I can use it as a sun block
great video
Arai high standards with open type - face helmet ... is it a joke?
Top!

A step down from SNELL?
No, not in the slightest.
That bit about brain damage would put me off riding!!! nearly lol
I gave up after 12 minutes
Bought this helmet big regret
why?
