  • Japan arrived in Doha, Qatar on Thursday ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Moriyasu Hajime's side begin their World Cup Group E campaign against 2014 winners Germany on Wednesday, with games against Costa Rica and 2010 champions Spain to follow.
Japan have never reached the quarter-finals at a World Cup and their best performance to date has been three Round of 16 appearances at their home tournament in 2002, in South Africa 2010 and in Russia 2018.
