We tend to think herps as creatures that have everything they need to survive from the moment they hatch, but more and more discoveries are making clear that they too rely on learned behaviors. Thankfully, in this case it took just a little help to do the trick

Sounds like they shy to me😢
I’m their NATURAL habitat is where these natural instincts like singing happen. Unfortunately humans are the reason of the destruction of these beautiful creatures and many more.❤

They will create an insurance population in human care. Release into the wild will happen only when the current causes for their decline will be halted, or at least slowed down enough

They probably don't breed because you handle them too much and they don't like being locked In a cage.

The same goes for us as well. Reminds me of Planet of the Apes.

Or it's probably for the reason they explained in the video?

But they do breed.. Where do you think the eggs came from? They weren't breeding prior because the males weren't "singing" which induces breeding behaviour in the females.
The likely reason they weren't singing is that they'd never heard it before like they would have in the wild, an observed behaviour from older generations.
If the reason they weren't singing was "being handled too much and being locked in a cage" then why would playing them the sounds of males calling have made these ones start calling? Doesn't make sense.
