HOLY HARDWOOD, BATMAN! i loved Jed Allan’s appearances in Adam-12 (the wiley Rams fan), which i now see overlapped same time frame as this show! i recognized his voice as I heard it! THANK YOU FOR POSTING
It was so much fun watching these 4 gentlemen bowl. I loved it when Adam West said "My ball is the shiny one." He said that because Roy Rogers got a lot of strikes. The cowboy and Batman made a good team! 🎳👏
I find myself urging each ball to get where it's supposed to go. Isn't it funny how you can watch these games and get wrapped up in a contest that ended more than 50 years ago?
Byron Keith was an actor. He played the cop the private eyes on 77 Sunset strip always worked with. One of the audience “winners” was Ron Silver - there was also an actor by that name.
Dan Barker I never ran across this show before. Not in my market. Out of Los Angeles, where the celebs could drop by. This reminds me of the celebrity charades and other game shows where the entertainment value was as much the way the people interacted as the contest. On this series the entertainment value included what people chose to wear.
Dr.hookyeah He was on a lot of things including a soap opera. He was one of those actors who seemed to never be out of work. He was even on Adam-12 several times. What's not to like about this gig, messing around with celebrities? Looks like fun. :)
At about 5:35 Byron Keith tells Adam that as Mayor Lindseed he should tell him how things are going at Wayne Manor. Byron Keith did actually play Mayor Lindseed in 10 episodes of Batman.
I see they removed the show of Desi Arnaz and Jack Cassidy up against Bob Crane and Dicky Dawson. Jed called it "The Battle Of The Hollywood Hornballs"
I wish someone would post the episode where Johnny Tilitson and Sammy Shore played Richard Long and Ed Asner. JT had the funniest approach I ever saw but he often made it pay off.
McCord is a good athlete but dont look like he bowled alot. Collins looks like a decent bowler. Roy is really good. Batman sucks. Roy may have owned a bowling ally.
Everyone who believes that actors have enough brains to lecture us about climate and politics should watch this. *How hard is it to figure out?* If you bowl on Lane 1, you go first. After you bowled first on Lane 1, you go second on Lane 2. If your teammate strikes, sit down. Jeez!
... they all seem so young ...and have passed except for Kent who is still very much with us...
This is TV gold! Thank you SO much for making these treasures available again🙏

Commentator Byron Keith was also in Batman66, recurring role as Mayor Linseed.
Roy Rogers is a beast!!!!!
he was over 60 at this point.
I hear he was a regular league bowler. He knew what he was doing and yeah, he was the beast.
RIP Adam West, Roy Rogers and Gary Collins; the bat-signal is waiting for you... IN BOWLING HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Laughter)
Amen!
You can't expect Adam to learn how to bowl, and defend Gotham City at the same time.
Typewriters and Spiegel catalogs. Groovy!
Back when reality tv was good.
Love that Firebird. Nice typewriter
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
I find myself urging each ball to get where it's supposed to go. Isn't it funny how you can watch these games and get wrapped up in a contest that ended more than 50 years ago?
Roy Rogers and Adam West were both my childhood hero's!
Kent had a good game this episode.
Kent bowled some good strikes but ouch that snaggle tooth pins.
Kent was a doll!
Now that Pontiac firebird car was the real deal back in the days
Roy Roger's was throwing heat!
Between Batman and Jim Reed, there's a "1-Adam-West" joke waiting...somewhere...somehow.
"One Adam West, see the penguin, stolen umbrella, 253 McWerter... code 2"
@@56squadron 😂😂🤣🤣
Roy Rogers was a great bowler
Yup!!! He was brilliant!
NICE SHOT BATMAN!
right you are chum!
Roy Rogers could bowl!
My bowling hero!!!
Roy rogers used to bowl league in victorville/barstow, ca. If he went to the bar he'd only ask for whatever in a paper cup.
Holy bowlers, Batman!
There probably wasn't much Roy couldn't do great. Thanks for the post.
Roy Rogers and Batman...what a show!!!
Roy Roger also has a great chain of restaurants. Only fast food place I ever patronize.
Best music ever
14:57 "Amazing what a phone booth will do for you " Did he think Adam played Superman ? Lol
You could hear Adam say, "Wrong guy."
@@MichaelSimmons. Good ear, Michael Simmons, or is it Steve Austin ?
@Joe Ambrose. I noticed that, too.
I was born four years later.
Nananananana..bowlllinnnng!

This was a good bowling game show, it should've lasted longer.
It had a run of 8 yrs. 71 thru 78. That's pretty good.
Imagine if it was done today
@@namk19 That would be cool

Notice how the announcer says Jersey when the ball crossed over? The announcer's from New York, and New Yorkers call a Brooklyn hit a Jersey.
Only right. Those of us from New Jersey call our cross hits Brooklyn's.😁
The Hudson River has a lot to do with that.
I bowled league in NY in the 80s, everyone called a crossover for righties Brooklyn and for lefties Jersey
20alphabet. I didn't know that. I'm from Minnesota. We call it a Brooklyn. 🎳
@@joeambrose3260 That's very interesting. 🎳
Adam west was soooo damned cool
I have good news and bad news.
The good news is I finally got a gig.
-What’s the bad news?
I’m the host of Celebrity Bowling.
Dr.hookyeah He was on a lot of things including a soap opera. He was one of those actors who seemed to never be out of work. He was even on Adam-12 several times. What's not to like about this gig, messing around with celebrities? Looks like fun. :)
He got paid for having fun, poor guy.....
If you get to see the one with Michael Cole and Tige Andrews, they bowl a 266.
Michael Cole was the best bowler, I ever saw on this show.
@@MichaelSimmons. That might be why they never had him back. They didn't really want those cars given away.
I saw a video of that game as I’m a big fan of “The Mod Squad”, and I was blown away at how good both Cole and Andrew’s game was.
@@torchkit They only gave away one car a year, I think - the first time over 240 but then again, there was only the one time it happened, I think.
@@mlbrooks4066They only gave away one car ever.
The King of the Cowboys is an awesome bowler.
At about 5:35 Byron Keith tells Adam that as Mayor Lindseed he should tell him how things are going at Wayne Manor. Byron Keith did actually play Mayor Lindseed in 10 episodes of Batman.
I bet Roy Rogers could've gone pro.
I so agree!
I agree!
It's disillusioning when your favorite super hero is a worse bowler than Jan Brady
BAHAHAHA.. 🤣
She better have her glasses on lol
So now we see what the mayor of Quahog was doing in the seventies..
Sorry Roy, Trigger lied. He was only 30 when he died, not 33
Roy Rogers could have turned pro .
Probably not but he was a very good bowler. To go pro at any era toy have to have an avg well over 200
Kent McCord was much taller than I thought. Jed Allan was 6'4" and McCord matched him.
I went once before and it was fun, that was until I fell down lol
Holy gutter ball. Batman can't bowl!
Does Roy have a hairpiece?
Yes, he took to wearing a hairpiece around this time and discarded it after about a year
Adam is killing Roy’s game
Adam should have a lane installed in the Bat cave for practice. He
blows !
Holy gutter ball!
He isn't all that bad, I've definitely seen worse!
Holy josephat Batman lol
Wow! What happened? Roy Rogers gave the other team a lesson in not giving up. Close, but no car for the pin pal.
I see they removed the show of
Desi Arnaz and Jack Cassidy up
against Bob Crane and Dicky
Dawson. Jed called it "The Battle Of The Hollywood Hornballs"
BAHAHAHA. .🤣
This Episode is... BATASS ! 🦇
I didn't know celebrities couldn't bowl. Roy n Bob are only two that come close.
I wish someone would post the episode where Johnny Tilitson and Sammy Shore played Richard Long and Ed Asner. JT had the funniest approach I ever saw but he often made it pay off.
Roy's got a hair Trigger!
DidNickPerryBowlOnTheShow
Gary Collins is going to have a 6 scents about this match lol
Poor Gary, he was robbed of a strike many times.
Batman
Did Adam West blow a fart at 1:30?
YES I HEARD THAT HOLY FART BATMAN
its not offten seeing batman and the king of the cowboys team up
Roy Rogers trying for a turkey
McCord is a good athlete but dont look like he bowled alot. Collins looks like a decent bowler. Roy is really good. Batman sucks. Roy may have owned a bowling ally.
You can't expect the Caped Crusader to practice bowling when he's always busy saving Gotham City.
Everyone who believes that actors have enough brains to lecture us about climate and politics should watch this. *How hard is it to figure out?* If you bowl on Lane 1, you go first. After you bowled first on Lane 1, you go second on Lane 2. If your teammate strikes, sit down. Jeez!
Looks like Batman sucks
Roy's hairpiece is god awful.
it didn't last too long, about a year
West: a terrible batman and a terrible bowler
Yeah. Terrible Batman. Whatever. 🙄
Better than Affleck, no offense
Ben - boy
West is the BEST Batman
Adam was a great Batman. Nobody else comes close.
