am i the only one who noticed that he didn't actually answer any of the personal questions? for example what's the first thing u look up on ur smart phone in the morning? he tells us he doesn't use his phone in the morning, what does ur latest tattoo mean?he tells us he gets tattooes to places which aren't showing because it takes hours to cover them for my movies, jared is so clever and will always be mysterious hahah i love him
So many Mars fans hate the new album. And I get why, they used to be an emo band, then from This Is War they started their era of wonderful and incredibly unique music, seriously, I've never heard something like their 3rd and 4th album! America again is very modern. And a lot of fans who love the emo 30STM, don't like that. But the idea of making music about the time that we're living in and that whole spirit of nowadays is just beautiful. Keeping that in mind while listening to America makes you feel every song and love this new style more.
Melody Lightheart they forgot about their “music roots”. All the music dounds the Same these days. All overtuned with samples. They went from Unique to sheeps who follow the herd. This is not 30STM anymore. Tomo also left the band. Why ? They dissapointed a lot of their fans/echelon. Including me. But they opened my eyes and i can see through the “show” and what they exactly are doing right now...
They've never been emo. Why are people still saying that? They were Dark, which is another subculture, very different from emo. People think they were emo 'cause at that time the emo subculture was in, so every rock band was labeled as emo when most of them weren't even close. Real emo bands were in the mid 80s. Most "emo" bands from the mid 2000s were just posers (only using the image). Thirty seconds to Mars have Post Grunge roots, but they always had industrial rock touches. A beautiful lie was an Alternative Rock album, very dark (not emo at all) and the songs were very powerful in many ways. They increased the industrial sound since This is war, inspired by other influences Jared has. LLF+D was more electronic but created a dark ambient, they still had their Dark Rock sound. But America is an electronic pop album and even when there are a few songs I like, they don't have the same power the old ones do.

It's not easy when on tour, you have to eat vegan food or you want vegan food. Unless you have your own vegan chef, it gets a real hassle. But I think Jared is still a vegan when he can, they way he looks, tells it all.

Especially if you're older than 30, your English education in Germany might have been not the best. Also, you don't need it in your every day life, so you might keep your basic English, but forget about complicated vocabulary soon. Although I could understand everything they said in English, I think it's a nice idea translating it all into German so that fans who don't know English so well, could follow the interview too. You can be an Echelon no matter your heritage or language and everyone should have the opportunity to understand what Jared is saying, he has such a beautiful mind.

Like I said before, he meant he doesn't want to be labeled in any way, not even in his diet. He has a plant-based diet, but Vegan is the label people use for that, besides many people associate "vegan" with violent protests and crazy freaks who do stupid things (their words, not mine, I heard them saying that), so it's obvious he doesn't want to be labeled as one of them either 'cause he's very respectful to others who still eat animal products. He's not lying, he's just hard to understand sometimes since he's very clever and loves to play with other people's minds, especially when they ask him the same old boring questions over and over again. I don't simply respect his honesty, I admire it, just like that cleverness. He's talking about labels, which restrict us and he knows that, that's why he doesn't want any of that, but his diet is still the same. He has admitted though that sometimes he eats cheese when he's on tour 'cause it's very hard to eat healthy when you're constantly travelling, and some butter when his mom makes cookies, but then he feels sick 'cause he's not used to that anymore. He's always been honest
I love him so much and America Album is not that bad. Not my fav, but there are many songs i enjoyed it, even if i'm not American and i personally don't share some of their thoughts about politically correct, but i think he's inspiring for his people and that's great. About the tatoo's, he must be really pissed off about all the tatoo's he got for SS and for what? Nothing. Completely wasted his time with DC, glad he's dumping them. He deserves way better. About his style, is right none can judge him, he's free to wear whatever he likes and must be respected. Nice interview.

America is very in the present and now album which will age very well. 30 Seconds to Mars is more than some random Emo screaming band.
