Theres literally a biological difference as to why its literally impossible for men to sit for long periods of time with their legs pushed together, women have a larger pelvis and thighbones that more naturally align towards the body's midline as apposed to away from it, if a man tries to sit with their legs together it builds tension which women do not experience
Trying to shame men for a biological attribute is the definition is body shaming and is incredibly ironic

As a girl, I get that you need to spread your legs open, and it literally doesn’t bother me. I think it’s the most comfortable way to sit lol. The male pelvis is shaped differently which means the resting position for a males legs are naturally wider whereas in women's, it is much narrower for example a males shoulder, it is naturally wider then a females due to the bone structure

Let's point out the obvious: The "manspreading" literally takes up the same width as the person's shoulders. They're not taking up extra space.

@@natebowman7593i know that im almost a year late but, in Florida, it is legally considered to be justifiable to use or threaten to use deadly force if you feel threatened, this is known as the "stand your ground" law, and since people can't tell if you actually felt threatened or not, they audibly say "I feel threatened" out loud, yeah they can get in trouble for it still and obviously there are scenarios where it wouldn't matter, like hypothetically if someone just slightly bumped into someone while walking by, them saying "I feel threatened" and stomping them to death isn't a "get out of jail free" card, but the fact that the law exists and it is regularly used is still wild.

Like I have to admit I used to get annoyed by "man spreading" as a small woman when I was next to a guy on public transport it felt like he was taking up more space than he needed to. I had to make myself smaller, "why should HE get to take up more space". But I was naïve, too busy being annoyed to consider LITTERAL HUMAN ANATOMY. I learned as I got older and spoke to my dad and brother about it, especially my brother, who would purposefully make himself uncomfortable for me when we shared a bus isle etc. I just assumed all men had the ability to sit with their legs closed like that comfortably, but no, he explained it was in fact at times PAINFUL but he was just being kind to me. So yh... ladies, we need to get over this one. Take one for the team and make yourself smaller on public transport so your fellow man can be pain free. What he does with his hands though... that's up to him if he wants to choose pain ya know what I mean ;)

(F) Ladies who feel awkward manspreading is because they have been taught that it is rude and unladylike to sit with your legs open so when they do it later it feels weird and awkward to them as if they’re breaking some rule or moral code for women. Personally I do both sitting with legs closed and open and don’t see the problem with manspreading as long as you’re not taking up other people’s space. Cuz honestly it’s so comfortable sitting like that cuz it’s not constricting. I won’t manspread if I’m wearing a medium or short dress cuz it could show your underwear or undergarments. I might do it if the dress is super long tho.
