We recently found old videos of our first day with puppy Milton and it's safe to say we were completely head over heels, over the moon in love with her. She captured our hearts from the instant we saw her. It's an incredibly special moment when you get to meet a puppy for the first time, and you know she'll be yours to love forever.

I had the cutest little cavalier named Vigo. He was the happiest, cutest little dog but he had heart disease and he died two months ago... I really miss him and I swear you will never have a chance to meet more loyal dog than Cavalier.
Know how you feel. My dog Sammy died 3 weeks ago today - kidney failure ironically caused by the medication that was keeping his heart strong. Not going to be a good Christmas this year.
Love and cuddle him while you can. Should you get another dog, he/she won't be a replacement - just another receptacle for the love that would otherwise go to waste. Sadly since I now live alone I can't get another dog for many years - another reason to look forward to retirement!

We just lost ours of almost 15 years and I am showing this video to my sad little cats that he left behind. They do not know how to go on living without him and are severely depressed. They wrap their little paws around the hearts of everyone they touch.

Each time I saw the puppy sniffing on the floor, I knew what was coming LOL! That's the universal language for all puppies.

We’ve had 3 King Charles over the year’s and they are the most loving and affectionate breed of dogs I’ve ever experienced. I grew up with different breeds when I was younger but (in my humble opinion) the King Charles is a stunning family dog; loves children and really wants to be part of the family.

CA Haughton i mean my dog is 14 years now and he is as healthy and active as always, the only thing with my Old-timer is that he lost his hearing at age 13.5, don’t get me wrong he can hear us but not as good. I remember People telling me that King Charles have health problems but it also comes down to how you take care of your pet.
I didn't realised I made this comment 2+ years ago.
Sadly, old doggo passed on Oct 31st 2020 with acute heart failure. It was very sudden. Collapsed in the afternoon and passed away that evening in the comfort of his home.
I will miss him, but at least he didn't have to suffer very long before he went away.

Well to put it simple: CKCs tend to have heart problems, and don't quite get used to foreign environment easily when they're older. (Around 7 years and older), at least in my case.
They prefer comfort of their home, and affection when they want to.
On average they live from 8-11 years due to those heart problems.
In a way, they're just like any other dog. Give em lots of care and affection.

I have a precious baby boy named Bailey. Going from a German shepherd mix to a King Charles spaniel is a big change but I swear he channels my energy. I came home from surgery was in pain and tired had cotton up my nose and he burrowed himself into my shoulder making everything a million times better. I don’t know what I would do without my little guy
Yes they are very perceptive to our needs. I've had times where I've just felt like crying and my Cavalier will come up and start licking around my eyes. He somehow knows that I'm sad.
I love this video. Because u can really feel the love from their owners. Giving these adorable munchkins so much care. And friendly place to live. The music... itself makes u wanna buy a cavalier. Darlin things they are.

These dogs are so good with kids. We had one the kids would be pulling out of his ears and he would just bashfully shy away and the come back to play again. Such a playful dog. Never lash out. Just the best dogs with kids ever
King Charles cavalier spaniel best dog ever! Had 2 my little girl passed away almost 2 years ago. And I still think about her all the time She was the best. They have a great personality and so friendly. You will never find a nicer dog. Still have my boy Cav. He's great and so loyal,. Could never imagine life without Cavs

I just got one yesterday at like 8 at night after finding out someone was possibly going to get her first. Shes adorable, but shes incredibly shy. Shes warmed up to us, every now and then she peaks her head out and wags her tail like not tomorrow.

YES! That is one of the reason people adopt cavalier: they are very calm dogs (most of the time.. here this is a puppy so of course.. :) ) and VERY attached to their owners. They just want to be pet and on your lap.

I thought they just poo'd and slobbered everywhere! ... but when a puppy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was rested on my stomach and it just fell asleep straight away, my heart melted, and then I became a dog lover. What a special and beautiful breed ... thankyou for opening my heart and my mind. That little dog will give you THE HAPPIEST YEARS OF YOUR LIFE :) ps. I hope you can teach it to Hi5, I had a lot of fun with that!

My wife and I are looking to possibly get our first puppy as a couple and have narrowed it down to a few breeds, with the Cav leading the race, and this video sold me!! I grew up woth golden retrievers and my wife has had Pomeranians in the past, but I’m obsessed with these doggies! Thanks for sharing!!!
My tricolored cavalier king charles spaniel Milo passed away a year ago and I miss him everyday. Had him when I was young. I go to his grave usually once a month to visit. These are the best dogs by far. Milton is beautiful ♥️
