I’m not the best at math, so it makes me feel a bit better that an actual pathologist admitted she too struggled in math. I’ve never gotten anything lower than a B in math, but I do struggle A LOT! Thank you so much for making me feel more confident! I’m a sophomore in college and I’m very interested in this profession:)

Same here!! I have spent the better part of the past year narrowing down where in medicine I would like to be. I decided pathology and I actually feel so much better with this as my goal. I wish you the best in your journey!!

@@dwoollery Hi!! I think it looks odd for replying this late, but I just wanna share that I am currently in doubt as a medical student that wants to pursue pathology. Because of that doubts, I watched this video again, found my comment and saw yours hahahaha. Your reply gave me drive somehow, and hopefully, I could continue striving. Thank you, and I wish you all the best that life could offer!

@@rekujeri I’m so happy you responded! I’m also happy that my story could help you. There’s so much more to it but I wanted to spare everyone the novel. I wish you much success and that your journey opens doors for you. Good luck to you Jerrie!

I became a pathologist because I discovered I didn't have the patience, the stamina, or the personality to be a clinician, especially in OB/GYN. LOL :-)

Forensic Pathology is very special and powerful. I hope it helps everyone from autopsies to crime investigations.

Love your story and I appreciate your career choice. From my personal, long term patient standpoint, pathologists and pathology in general has literally saved my life. Thank you❣

I loved pathology, but looking in the microscope made me nauseous, so I knew I didn't have what it takes.

Is it possible for me to have an undergraduate degree in MLS and then apply to medical school to end up being a pathologist?

Wait, hold up, is this the same Favia who is a super-fit climber and ninja warrior? Or does she just have the exact same name and face?
    Anyway, she is amazing!
