Interesting that they find their outfirs revealing. A lot of female kpop groups have short and tighter outfits. Guess it's the body that's in them makes the difference.

It's probably because they show cleavage. For some reason, koreans don't have a problem with extremely short skirts but if you show cleavage or too much upper body in general it's considered revealing/sexual. If you pay attention to it, you almost never see a kpop idol with a revealing top. Even the more sexy and "scandalous" idols usually show just a little bit of cleavage. The legs and bum aren't considered as too revealing, that's why you often see idols basically with parts of their butt hanging out lol
To add tho, it could also stem from the fact that koreans tend to kind of oversexualize foreign women, especially black women.

You should show them more black female artists it seems like they only know Beyoncé.. you should try some older ones like young Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, TLC that would be a good vid! 😁 or HER or SZA if you wanted to do more new black artists

Why do Koreans always compare black singers or regular black women to Beyonce? They need exposure to Black female entertainers beyond beyonce.
Beyonce is their mentor, so them being compared to Beyonce isn’t all that wrong. Halle favors Solange and Chloe favors Beyonce in terms of style.
Well I mean beyonce is connected to chloe and halle so I think they get a pass this time
I think it's a culture thing. I notice that when Koreans give a compliment, they compare a person to someone famous and influential, even if the person they are complementing doesn't look like the famous person. Like a girl might say a guy is like Lee Min Ho even if he doesn't really look like him.
I was wondering if they kept comparing them to Beyonce because the interviewer mentioned her so it was top of mind, or if it was just that Beyonce is the only Black female singer they know.
It sounds crazy to us but she’s the most globally known black female artist for them. It would kind of be like Americans thinking of BTS when they hear Korean artist or kpop
finally. i’m so happy that they’re shown that not all american, especially black women artists don’t rely on that mic drop dramatic eccentricity, there’s nothing wrong with that all at bc we’re not pick me’s! but there’s more than one genre and they should be exposed to that. regardless of what aesthetic, it’s all talent but we need to show that there are different facets. so thank you, bc black women are far from being one dimensional.

I love how Koreans always talk about americans wearing revealing clothes but Korean girls(the ones in the music industry atleast) skirts be like extra extra short mini skirts lol.
To he completely honest, I think they find it different because Americans usually have a fuller figure and idols are made to have a very thin and small figure. They probably think a more voluptuous body needs to be covered more than a very small one

Respectfully i didn’t like a lot of the things they said... and the comment section gives me the feel of needing to be accepted by white ppl or other poc.. and truthfully they really dont hve any interest.. they didnt even list one black artist ( not surprised) they do stuff like this due to almost always requests/ views or take notes to appropriate. Everything was beyonce this beyonce.. i see other girl groups wear less but they are somehow “ more revealing” “touchy”.. the song is “oddly attractive” like what am i to take from tht ..idk.. its my first time seeing this channel and them so this is also my first impression n i feel nothing ( not impressed nor am i pissed or upset).. thats fine too...It is what it is.

I wouldnt lay sleepless just because they talk mostly of Beyonce.I doubt the average black american youngster can name alot of Korean artists,probably they might have heard of BTS and Blackpink but other then that i wouldnt hold it against anyone who dont know.Here in Sweden ive heard very few times one or two songs by them in radio never in tv and noone of my friends know anything about Korean music🙂im the odd one that likes kpop😀

But thanks for the sentiment...just because someone asks a question out of curiosity dosnt mean they want to look like Korean beauty standard...black beauty is more western and African and we don't want to change that any time soon. The butt, hips, lips, cheeck ones etc are not something we will ever want to give up...we have even moved the western stand to this. I think America lead the way...now wvery one and thier mothers are getting lp injections....believe me when i say we dont want to be koreans beauty standard...we have the big eyes and slim face...every thing else including fair skin is a big ask..just like asking koreans to grow big butties is
