- Columbia University Professor Edward Said talks about the future for Arab-Americans in the United States. He focuses on the importance of maintaining a relationship with the Arab world. He also stresses that they must work to combat stereotypes against Arab-Americans and to give their culture a presence in American society.
He spoke at the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee banquet. This recording was broadcast on the C-Span network on June 13, 1999.
