Three songs from Max Fleischer's animated feature film, "Gulliver's Travels," were recorded by Guy Lombardo. "It's A Hap-Hap-Happy Day" was sung by the Lilliputian villagers as they made a new suit of clothes to fit their friend and protector, Gulliver. The song was later used as the opening theme for a series of short "Gabby" cartoons (Gabby was the comical town crier in the movie).
Here, "It's a Hap-Hap-Happy Day" is illustrated with scenes from an idealized school day for American children in the 1930s.
