I like to think the Comic is canon, since it’s more fitting that Carl was a youngster slowly losing his mind from all the killings he’d done for 50 Blessings. In the end, he thought he was invincible, but then got overwhelmed by a few Russians.

This Carl is really cool. Aside from all the stuck up edgy teenage bullshit he spews, he shows creativity and as a character he grows as the story continues. I especially like how he is friends with Jake, i’m not sure why but those two characters being friends is a really interesting dynamic. Jake being the brute and Carl being the creative and “intellectual” one yet Carl’s choices leading to him looking like a moron, idk just something about it is very likeable

I don't know why, but Carl has always seemed like a really interesting character to me. So I was pretty happy to see another fan of the character take on their own spin on Carls story.

This is the first time I've seen someone else utilize cutscenes playing after death
I only figured out about it because of awful enemy placement on my first map, and was waiting for someone to use it in a real level

The first parts were at firts frustrating and depressing, then the second part was just touching and sad in some way, he could have lived a live...a new life,it wouldn't matter what he did, he could have been someone artistic...even had a crush, probably? I love this story in some way..
I really like the story and the level looks pretty cool. Although i wish carl looked a bit different but we never saw his face in the story so i guess it doesn’t matter

Wow I never though a fan made level editor could make me shed a tear I loved this take on carl having him be a angsty teen rather than a mature person like jacket or the others a genuinely teared up a bit when i saw the disco I actually like this better than the Canon comic cus in a way I relate to carl abit I was never a dick and called people conformists but I was kinda like that and to see him mature and realised that he can't do that any more made the ending more heartbreaking a man that finally was trying to fix his life had it suddenly ended I loved this and I wished that this was Canon instead

It was a comic, and it depicts the story of Carl, and Dennaton games actually called it canon.
It's real, and this campaign is sort of an parody of it. The lines in the comic were just as ridiculous as they are here.

Man, i really wanted for more hotline Miami lore, knowing more about the characters like this mod does, but canon
I don't like how Carl is potrayed in this level. In comic Carl was person who realised what 50 blessing was, and refused to work for them, and knowing that there was no way out alive, decided for himself when and how he's going to die, knowing that he's the curse, that will make 50 blessings collapse.
Meanwhile in this fan made level he acts like spoiled Child, that accidently joined gang and was too dumb to understand that drill wouldn't be effective againts Guns saying gosh all the Times, also his meeting with Jake, is so cringy, they don't sound like hired man to do horrible things for cold blooded organisation, and more like Kinder gardeners that are discussing which Animal is coolest, or compering pokemon cards
