I am so excited!! I just discovered this video. As an artist I will be able to use this material in so many different ways. How Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks. Or some sort of fluid rubber? There is a product now on the market that you can paint or spray on, look for plasti-dip. I intend to make stiff or semiflexible car parts for covering wheel housings, columns etc. , but the surface should be rather smooth/closed.
omg this stucff is soooo awesome! making some scale amour is gonna be alot easier and cheaper then i thought it was going to be! thank you so much for the tutorial!!!
im saved!!! I was having the worst time trying to figure out how to make helba's shoulder pads and this stuff is the answer to my prayers T w T thank you for the tutorial so much
i have a costume that will have leg "covers" that bulge out. if you look up the the name "mystogan" you can see what i mean since i cant link it. do you think this would work well if i use the higher fosshape?
@@emilyrosenzweig9946 I hear ya...check out the Fosshape Facebook and or Instagram pages . Feel free to email info@wonderflexworld.com if any questions along the way
If you were thinking about a tight fitting body suit like Spider Man or a divers wet suit.....then expect heat activated FOSSHAPE just might be too stiff.....as it would would pretty much stand up by itself ......kind of like a light weight hallow mannikin.....but it kind of depends what it is you're trying to achieve. Go to fosshape dot com and request free sample to experiment with.
Not so much, only on maybe a small piece of FOSSHAPE you might get by. Hair dryers do not generate enough heat, tend to overheat, if not burn out... plus takes a long time to activate the FS.
What mccall's patter did you use for the skull cap? I have been searching and have been unable to find it. I would like to use it to make some bases in the fosshape 600. Thanks in advance
NO, NO and NO........ do not attempt to ever thermoform directly onto your body or anyone's else. We don't want folks getting hurt or burned. FOSSHAPE activates with heat and pressure. Steam heat is most often preferred and that would be harmful to the body. www.wonderflexworld.com
Sorry about that....just type FOSSHAPE in the RUclips search box and all 3 of those videos will be listed, but not in any order. I-What is Fosshape, II Using Fosshape and III-The Power of Fosshape
I just found out about this product, I'm a costumer, question; can I use fabric paints on UN-heated fabric? I plan to make masks w/neck cowl, heating only the head part and not the neck so it stays flexible. Have you ever done this? think it will work?

Awesome!
Amazing!
If I wanted to heat this over a dress form, could I make something like a corset out of it??
Did you ever use epoxy resin to make it stronger?
Do you know the basic chemics like the plastik fibre in it? Polyethylene?
How well does light shine thru it? I would imagine it would give an nice diffused glow to a piece when paired with LED's.
Is it still pinable/sewable after activation? Or is it a solid plastic like worbla

My mind is just kinda blown right now, I can think of ten billion things I would want to make with this.

I have never used Fosshape before,, and would like to use It to make a bird prop.

Have not myself, but expect some endusers probably have in the past. FOSSHAPE is comprised of a low met polyester.
Can you use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun or steamer?
Not so much, only on maybe a small piece of FOSSHAPE you might get by. Hair dryers do not generate enough heat, tend to overheat, if not burn out... plus takes a long time to activate the FS.

May I use it on my body?

How does this work on fabric, meaning sewing it on to this product and then shrinking it?
How low is the temperatures ?
Not sure what you are asking....activation temperature is around 175-200 degrees F.
Is this considered Archival for fine art use?
Yes it is and it passes "oddy testing". FOSSHAPE 600 is often used for museum mount making ie. mannikin construction. www.wonderflexworld.com

If I shape bra cups w fossshape 300 in a fit bustier, will it breathe? 2:14
Yes, the FOSSHAPE should still remain breathable after heat forming.
