Wouldnt banana leaves be a good option besides the Kallax and normal feeding?

i used to do quite a bit of botanicals, even for fishes, we use banana leaf for Betta and catapan leaf for soft water fishes as they have great properties (these leaves are readily available even below where we stay). most of the fishes do not chew or feast on the leaves so there are not so much concern or side effects we have seen. I probably had bad experiences just 1 leaf out of so many i did had traces of insecticide/herbicide (poison), that wipe out my colony almost immediately even after cooking/boiling/treating. It led me to think differently between using leaves for fishes vs shrimps. As they consume them so chances are the impact is rather directional. However, in most part the leaves are fine as long the source/treated well and great area for them to feast on the biofilm. I do still recommend leaves.
For me i wouldn't bet on something that have a 1/10000 chance of happening, and maybe it's just me, when things happen, it always happen to the most precious tank/shrimps.
