I said this even in the first half. A lot of problems we have are not “coaching issues” its people on the pitch not doing their job. Rashford lost the ball and didn’t counterpress, simple ball was put over him and the entire defense ran back because they knew we were short of pace at the back. Left a huge gap in midfield and defense. Dalot did the same, Garanacho too. If you don’t win individual duels, second balls no way you will win a football match! Simple as that

Because you pay the backline you deployed today damn near a million a week. That’s not a a reason to capitulate against a championship side. United was about 3 cm from getting dunked on by a mid table team in a lower division. That’s criminal for any team who isn’t being threatened by relegation in the Premier League. There’s no point in talking about players who are unavailable who he wouldn’t use anyway like how he’s had Amrabat, Eriksen and Mount and refused to use all 3 at major points of the season.

At last you have come round to seeing that ten Hag is a hopeless manager who doesn't listen to criticism and fails to learn from experience. It began today with team selection. He keeps picking Rashford, who is consistently the worst player on the pitch. Today, we saw him repeatedly stifling United's attacking moves with the usual pointless back passes, wandering into the middle, and running into trouble and losing the ball. Ten Hag also keeps putting right-footed players on the left and left-footed players on the right. Consequently, only Dalot managed to go outside the full-back and get a cross in (creating a goal). It's basic football. As a consequence, Hojland got no service whatsoever. Then ten Hag makes the most stupid substitutions, taking off two of our most effective players - Mainoo and Garnacho (yes!) - and bringin on Anthony of all people. Ten Hag has been making the same mistakes all season.

Bruno kept slowing down play when we were supposed to be on the counter attack. His passing was also chaotic, preferring the risky pass to the simple one and making a meal pf the simple pass (that ball should've made it to Garnacho).

ETH has been subbing Mainoo off of late. I’m guessing the reason is physical. The lad has played a lot of football for his first season in men’s game. I don’t think he would be taken off in any game otherwise as Utd don’t have any cover for him.
Maybe there is an issue with protecting Garnacho as well he seems to get subbed as well.
Can only think Rashford gets subbed last as he is used to playing all season physically as he has done it for years now.
I know fans want to win at all costs but these are young men, burning them out won’t help the club in the long term if they start to develop injuries at the beginning of their professional careers.
If the subs are to protect young players I don’t think you can knock ETH for it, if they are tactical errors then he’s got to go.

I think the players aren't playing for the manager or each other but I cannot agree with fans who say he doesn't have a style or his tactics are wrong. The culture at the club and the mentality of the players just isn't there and I think there is a bit of sabotage going on. He was better than a lot out there. The silly penalty aside I don't think he nor Maguire were at fault for any of the Coventry goals but Ten Hagg should have reacted to the Coventry half time change earlier. No midfeild discipline when Mainoo went off, and it wasn't great when he was on.

We moved the ball quickly once...scored, then slowed it down.
Mctominay moved into a holding role 2nd half...we collapsed.
After concending 2 goals, we still allowed our full backs to bomb on, leaving maguire and casemiro exposed.
Front 3 are so poor with the ball. As well as being awful without it.

Totally agree! Very bittersweet 'Win' with so many things still happening that you have covered to death in your 5 things. Marcus is a shadow of his former self and needs to leave, him and Garnacho lost possession so much and still shooting rather than feeding Hojland and doing the right thing for the common good of the club rather than themselves.

At least then our chances of winning the thing go up, as it stands I'd put our % of winning the cup in the single digits.

Why does every thing of the blame come to Ten Hag only? Keeping players fit is just not his job, there is a whole management entrusted with this. 60 injuries, the fact that we put up a team is big for me. Scoring 3 goals in any case was special. Not having a defense at all is unbelievable. Case is the center back. Hell no!!

Fans can say whatever they want about the last months with Ole, but at least we played football that was much more fun to watch than the pure garbage we are watching with ETH.
And fans claiming that Ole had no tactics are pure idiots clueless about football as Ole clearly had VERY good tactics against very good clubs and managers, like City with Pep, PSG and others.
      Did Ole do mistakes?
      For sure.
But FAR less than what ETH has been doing.

This is not ETH's fault, the infirmary was identified as a problem in the summer and nothing done about it. The owners were too busy playing two buyers off against each other, not to mention a road trip through North America. This has now caught up to us, well not now 5 months ago. Lets hope this issue is sorted plus a little player refreshment through the summer and things will start to get better. It would be unreasonable to expect to beat City in the final unless through a miracle everyone gets healthy and City find themselves in a dog fight for the league.
