- This is a technical fault a few of my friends remember and I've recreated the fault based on their descriptions. This isn't related to the 2006 power cut in any way.

As the top comment reads:
'This also happened on our channel, Cartoon Network Russia and South-Eastern Europe. It was probably a problem in England, where these channels all air from. Here, however, they didn't fix the broadcast until TCM started (21:00 CET) and even then some 20 minutes passed before the TCM movie actually started.'
The order of events (based on memory):
- Freezes during an advert for a detergent / soap brand (Lenor is our closest bet)
- Stayed onscreen for around 5-10 minutes
- CN City loop was playing with no CN onscreen graphic
- Boomerang was affected and was playing 2004 ribbon bumpers.
- CN Too was also affected and was playing a loop of Cartoon Network filler shorts (also the loop seen in its closing.)
They couldn't remember what programme was meant to be on so I've had to use schedules from the day the international fault above happened.

Oh god, 2010 Cartoon Network gave Lenor the whole ad break just to themselves
Even though the City era already ended on 24 May 2007, they still use them for their technical difficulties.
Even though Boomerang stopped using those idents, they still use them for technical difficulties.
And I like that.
You know, the 2004 animated ribbon idents were replaced by the live-action ribbon idents in 2007, when Boomerang aired live-action programmes.
