Don't apologize for crying, any of us fellow mama's totally understand. I got teary right along with you, my heart aches for you and Charlie :( You two are wonderful parents though and I know you'll be great advocates for Delilah to get things figured out. Your sweet girl has lots of people around the world following her story and thinking about her and sending positive thoughts her way! xo
sending you a huge hug and some tissues because i literally sat here and cried with you! when it rains it freakin pours! I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!! i wish we lived closer! xoxo
You literally brought me to tears! I am so sorry you all are going through this, and as you said it is heartbreaking to think your child may grow-up and have chronic pain. I really hope that it is minor and she mostly grows out of it. Hugs!!
Don't ever be sorry for showing your feelings!! I cried too! So happy she is starting to feel better and also glad you got have a date night(you need it now more than ever)!
Ahhh Alyssa never apologise for crying. What a scary thing you're all going through. Really glad you both had a date night. You're a lovely couple! Sending hugs to you all x
I've started watching your videos recently and I love you and your little family❤ the more I watch your nursing videos the more you continue to inspire me to continue my dream of becoming a vet.
I am so sorry. I want you to know I am a 40yr old mom of 3 gorgeous kids and I have Chiari as well. Also a Packer fan! Whooo-Hoooo! I am enjoying watching your vlogs and looking forward to keeping updated on how you guys are all doing.
Have the same condition, it has caused me many years of migraines, many MRI's. Almost had surgery but it got better by itself. It will never heal but it's better 😊 it's something your born with, especially with premature babies like myself. Keep your head up.
Your a great Mum, So you must not beat yourself up, children have accidents at times, but it shows what a great Mum you are, you did the responsible thing and got her checked out, I know that it's never nice when your children have accidents and get hurt, but in a way, this accident was a blessing in disguise, as it showed up, this abnormality, that may have gone undetected for a long time, my best friends little girl is 5 and she has the same condition, she was diagnosed 9 months ago, and is doing really good, I am her God parent, as her Mum and I have been friend for a very long time, don't hesitate to contact, if you need support or have any questions about Chiara's condition and treatment etc
Thinking of you guys! My heart broke when you were crying! I had a close friend in high school that had a chiari malformation and her biggest/worst symptom was frequent headaches which she was easily able to treat with a daily, mild medication. She knows it could've been much worse. Hoping your sweet girl is one of the lucky asymptomatic ones!
I was crying with you! Dont feel sorry for getting upset...let it out. Everything im sure will be ok. Delilah is such a strong girl.. glad she is getting better. x
I'm glad you guys went for a date night anyway- I think it's super important ! I am so sorry you're going through this with Delilah...The MRI will show more, and tell you guys more..
dont ever feel bad for crying for your children. my daughter has a collapsed airway in her right lung that recollapses everytime she has an asthma attack and when they found it i felt like my heart was ripped out. not being able to control what is going on in my childs body is what my nightmares are made of. anyways your daughter is gorgeous. ❤❤
I have Chiari Malformation. I was diagnosed 5-6 years ago when I started having seizures. I also have Lupus. I've gone to many doctors and everyone has said that mine isn't bad enough for me to have the symptoms I'm having or to get anything done so I just deal with it......thankfully I've found that anti-depressants help the headaches. Glad that your little one got the help she needed. :)
Totally got emotional watching this. I also think that you were made to be her mama! With your medical knowledge and the team of doctors she'll have, she couldn't be in a better place. She is so lucky to have a mom who knows how to help her! And, still a blessing to have found it when you did. Hugs. Xoxo
im watching in 2022 and I pray she's doing all better now. It still breaks my heart that she had to go through all this pain. She's so brave, u guys are amazing parents to her.
Don't ever apologize for hurting for ur babies...EVER!.. my cousin has had chari for over 30 years..she had 1 surgery when she was younger we were teens..they called it back then the zipper head surgery after surgery it literally looked like a zipper...she's in her 40s now she's lived a pretty productive normal life..just treat symptoms as they arrive an she's great today...positive vibes sent ur eay..ur a wonderful mommy an daddy
We found out my daughter has Chiari Malformation after she fell of her bed and got a concussion. she got diagnosed April 2015. It sucks that she has Chiari but I'm thankful we know she has it and could understand her. she would also fall all the time as a toddler. My daughter is 5 years old and she only complains about neck pain, bright lights and loud noise and I notice she gets tired easily. I'm glad you do these videos because I know we are not alone 💜 praying for your daughter
I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has it as well. I'm glad I'm making these videos so others dealing with the same thing can know that they aren't alone.
Don't be sorry for being upset. Your a parent, in a situation like this you have a right to be upset and concerned. I really wish you guys nothing but the very best for the rest of your lives.
I have fluid in my brain and fluid in my spine I have had 3-4 brain surgeries and 10 spine surgeries so I hope Delilah feels better soon I know how brain surgeries feels did she get put to sleep for her MRI sorry if I spelt her name wrong
Don't be sorry for crying! Especially when it comes to your babies. I wish you were closer so we could have mommy dates. Our children are our lives and when something is wrong with them, it hurts us more than them I think. I love your mother in law vlogging lol and I'm glad you got to go on your date. With everything going on, the two of you need to be strong together.
Sorry about the terrible news on Delilah. Hope she feels better. Everything happens for a reason though. If it wasn't for the injury you wouldn't have been able to find out about it at such a young age and now at least you can follow it to hopefully keep track of it.
never apologize for crying, showing emotion or being real. we all truly love and care about your little family, and I know I wasn't the only one that started crying right along with you. You and Charlie are such amazing parents. what God brings you to, He will lead you through. Have faith. You are always in my prayers! Don't see many date nights around here, but we're pretty low key too. if we're feeling crazy we might go play miniature golf or something like that lol.
I love you guys and have watched since you were pregnant with Delilah. I'm hoping and praying that when tests get done that its the best results for you guys.
i have a form of this as well. i suffered constance headaches for 10 years. i just recently had surgery to fix the problem. what a long road. you are a very strong momma. she will continue to do amazing.
AlyssaAllDay i had mine the end of may and it was a very rough road for me. im not sure if ot was age or being my first surgery but i ended up very sick from it. i hope to not have to do another surgery but im seeing some of the same symptoms as before surgery. if you dont mind me asking why do they have to do another surgery?
rebecca hawley I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. There are not different stages of Chiari Malformation. There are different types, but you also don't change types.
I'm so sorry your are having to deal with this. I hope she's ok, medical professionals can work wonders nowadays and in sure she will be in the best possible hands lots of love xx
There's just this problem that whenever I have some symptoms that aren't normal, I never tell my parents before I Google it, and of course, I get so scared bc I ofc think that it's the most severe disease and then go to my mom hysterically crying and scared out of my mind and she usually valmis me down and says it's nothing😅
Oh Alyssa I cried with you, sometimes you have to let it out. My nephew sees a neurologist at Children's Hospital In Minneapolis, she is absolutely phenomenal. The University of Minnesota also has some incredible and groundbreaking doctors. I'm not sure what WI has to offer for Children's Hospitals but honestly coming to Minneapolis would be worth it, they have some of the most well-known and successful Pediatric Neurologists and other specialty doctors. If It weren't for them my nephew wouldn't have made it was 3 months old and now he is 4 years old and thriving, he just started pre-K this year :). I have also heard Cincinnati has a good Children's hospital. QOTD: Olive Garden and Movie or shopping :)
Sending prayers. You had me crying. I am glad she woke up in a better mood. Children's hospital in Milwaukee is amazing. I work with neurologists (not pediatrics) and someone had the same malformation didn't know they had it.. Sending positive thoughts
Alyssa, plz don't think that anyone thinks you weren't watching your kids. That's crazy, kids get hurt no matter how much you watch them. I know your scared and worried sick, hang in there. I would also get a second opinion, with something that serious. Keeping your family in my prayers.
I'm just caching up now. Had a baby.... Took a RUclips/internet break. I'm crying just washing this. Poor kiddo and poor momma!!!! Im sending your family tons of positive Ju-ju and love. 💞
+AlyssaAllDay thanks! His name is Ben! He was born in October. #4!! I've missed so much!!! You're keeping me company while I feed him. Will keep D in my thoughts
Thoughts and others that princess feels better and gets better soon. Hoping it's all just a mild Case and nothing to worry about. You must sty away from google though! 😉 esp when googling things about the kiddos. I've been with my bf (father of my four kids) for 15 years and have never had a date night. Ever. So I can't answer ur question but it was a great idea that yous stepped back and took time to spend it with each other and step out of the house for awhile. Everything will be fine, you have enough people praying for you ❤️
no worries pretty lady I had the same thing when I was a child my doctors did an operation and put everything back in place and some mesh to make the hole where the brain was falling through more secure and today I am 55 and have no problems ever since so hang in there all will turn out fine.
you are one strong mama...i don't think i could even speak about your situation. i will think of delilah and pray for her. your date night kinda sound like mine and my husbands...except for crazies at starbucks!!
You all are in my thoughts. I just cant imagine. So glad you found out now so you can get the treatment that she needs early before it causes more problems.

I'm glad your surgery helped! Do you have hydrocephalus?
i don't think so, i know the sugary was called a keyhole surgery, it was really minor
I don't know if this has to do with our ethnicity but we don't do date nights is that weird? When my little one was a few months old I tried telling my husband we should go out and watch a movie or something as a date and he said he didn't want to leave the baby he said it was selfish and that we should be by her side every moment we get..
To each their own!
Yea but isn't he kinda crazy for thinking that? Lol it's a constant conversation we get in because I believe we need date night it is nothing selfish about that!
I will show him your video of date night let's hope we start a new thing called date night fingers crossed! Lol
I can see both sides. The thing is, a happy marriage makes happy parents! And it's really nice to take a couple hours to grab dinner to have some adult conversation! It would be different if it was every week or something crazy like that! We try to get one every few months if we can.
AlyssaAllDay Definitely that is exactly what I think but after showing him this video and explaining to him that it isn't selfish we just need mommy and daddy time he did say he will consider date night ☺
I Just wish this would not have happened to her but I’m so glad that you guys were able to catch it before it would’ve been so much worse.
I am praying for your little girl
Thank you
+AlyssaAllDay I am praying that her surgery went well hope she is better soon
yw the videos have been a big help for me it out have my daughter tested for the malformation and thank God she doesn't have it
So what if Miss Winter pulls the bike down too??? Should the bike maybe get moved? Don't cry sweet Alyssa. Everything will be okay. You are an amazing mom and the girls are lucky to have you.
I told Charlie to move it. Though I'm sure I will have to myself.
+AlyssaAllDay Funny you say that. My husband is snoring on the living room floor and he didn't move the huge packages blocking the door. Guess I will have to do it before my toddler tries to climb them tomorrow. I hate being bossy but geeze, lol.

What started all of this
My nephew was born with hydro. and sometimes else. he has a shunt.

She was born with it and it was found after she hit her head.
My dog died that day
