- I loved watching the bond being created between these two. And even though the topic is based on a serious matter, this film left me with a heartwarming and wholesome feeling. I recommend this one to anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

Very few have reacted to publicize this fun and well-constructed film. Thank you for one of those few.
Thank you for watching 😉☺
Very true. As a musician and of Classical and Jazz along with other genres, this is a great film. It represents the era in which it is set. The score and soundtrack are excellent.
I still don't get how Viggo didn't get an Oscar for this performance.
I had to do a double take when his name came up he slipped into the character so well that I didn't even realize it was him until I saw the credits and then I started wondering which character he played and then I realized
@@plevst8119 Yes, he is amazing in Captain Fantastic too.
It was considered an Oscar bait. People saw the movie as another white savior complex trope movie, didn't help that Viggo said some unflavorful things, the story is embellished, not accurate to the book allegedly.
@@RabidNemo Viggo : a swedish guy speaking bronx slang with italian accent : that's acting !
Both of them guys deserved an oscar for sure !
I just love how appreciative his wife is at the end for him „helping“ with the letters. She knew that those were her husbands feelings but his friend helped him putting them into the letter. Some people would have been upset but she saw the beauty behind it.
Such a short moment from a side character, and yet its one of my favorite moments in the movie.
… and that his wife is played by Linda Cardellini helps of course as well. 😅
42:05 he was in a Sundown town. It was a southern unofficial (and in some places official) policy that restricts the town or area after dark to black people. There are multiple cases throughout the Jim Crow era where blacks were lynched and murdered if caught out after dark. It’s one of many horrific things in an even more horrific time in this country’s history.
finally someone react this masterpiece, hope many reactors gonna watch this piece of art soon.
I hope so too, but I don't remember seeing any advertisements for it, which is a real shame as I think loads of people would enjoy this.
@@amylorraine3776 that's sad, this masterpiece deserves more
Thanks so much for the reaction. This movie is such a sleeper, very underrated.
Yes yes yes❤
Perfect timing on the vape hit.
haha.. right! 🤭😅
I’ve just noticed that the real Tony Lip in the end played Carmine in the Sopranos 😮
*FINALLY someone reacted to this amazing movie!*
I saw this film when it first came out and had forgotten how good it was thank you for reminding me
Nice job of reacting to "The Green Book". The ending still makes me tear up in quiet joy.
I grew up in Montreal, Canada. I was about 11 years old when we moved to the suburbs. My first good friend in my new school was a boy called Jeff Skoll. For three years, we were neighbours, classmates and best friends, until his family moved to Toronto in the late 70s.
At the end of this movie, you can read his name as one of the Producers -- his production company, Participant Media, put up much of the money to get this gem of a movie made. Jeff got his Masters degree in the U.S., where he made friends with the founder of eBay, and Jeff became the first President of that online community. He retired at age 35, with two billions in his pocket and still owning 15%.
Jeff then moved to L.A. to "tell stories". With a wish to make the world a better place, he produces politically motivated movies and documentaries, including "An Inconvenient Truth", a couple of films for George Clooney as director, "North Country" for Charlize Theron in political mode, and "Murderball", about quadriplegic basketball players who give everything to their game.
Jeff's movies have won numerous Academy Awards and he is now one of the world's biggest philanthropists and investors in family micro-businesses in many poor countries. I cannot express how proud I am to have once know such a good and capable person.

Green book is a gem of a movie! Also I watched Murderball..I saw it in Toronto at the Cumberland Theatre (Cinema) during a break from work. Loved that movie too. Your childhood friend produces great films 👍
Mr. Rogers would have loved this film and would have proved some of his previously stated points about what makes for good dramatic interaction. If you know, you know.
First of all: I'm very glad to see someone react to this gem of a movie.
However: I don't necessary agree with your take-away of: "usually it's a rich white guy who gets educated _(on this topic),_ but in this movie it's a rich black guy who gets educated _(on this topic)"._
Here, Tony _(a poor white guy)_ was the one who learned something _(on the same topic as in your example)._
The change is obvious: simply compare "first-five-minutes-Tony" with "last-15-minutes-Tony".
At the same time, while the doc also learned something...it was on a whole different topic.
I must not have explained myself correctly. I meant that it's usually a white guy portrayed as rich and educated and a black guy portrayed as poor and uneducated. I love that it was the other way around in this, but yes, like you said, they both learned a lot from each other. 😊
You know what's sad . It's based on 2 people but Tony. Becomes Tony 2 lip from supranos. He is the one that tells Tony from that show . " Don doesn't wear shorts"
You are the only person to do a full review of this movie and I appreciate that because I missed it in the theaters and watched it with you for the first time too. Thank you and I will watch more of your reviews based on this wonderful heart felt reaction of this great flick.
You are so welcome. I do hope you get to see the whole film one day, as it's a great movie and I had to cut quite a bit out.
Very true. I looked everywhere to find a reaction to this film and, yes this is the only full reaction to it. This is one of my favourite films. It is great that others such as yourself also enjoyed this movie as well.
The end has so many little things that would have never happened at the start. Tony saying to forget the money and miss the payday for the Christmas show, Don happily eating with his hands at the Orange Bird, Don wrapped Tony in his blanket that he’s very protective of, Tony, who threw away glasses touched by black men, now happily embraces and looks with pride as this gay black man embraces his wife.
viggo slays lol, you should really check out the movie captain fantastic or a history of violence, both 🔥viggo mortensen movies
I like that you like Adam in Beard meets food. Long time fan!
Did you hear the sigh of relief when Tony hugged doc. And he kept the hug longer .
Thanks for reaction!)
the movie is feel so good man
Great reaction and I'm glad that you came across that it was one that I had only just recently heard of because there were some RUclips clips going around. Not only a well done movie but beautiful from a cinematography standpoint
Touching Movie and great Reaction !! Thank You
🥰 Like you annd your reaction🥰
cash conversion from 1962 would be about a 9 to 1 ratio. so, 100 dollars a week, being 900 in today's money, is fine i suppose, but certainly not " a lot".
hi really like your channel but you need to do more reactions to build your channel atleast 2 per week, also i really like that you are doing alot of independent and overlooked movies, but might be a good idea to pad it out with some popular hollywood fluff, even if youve actually seen it before(most movie reactors have seen the popular movies they just lie for a catchy video title).
hope you dont take this comment a criticism as i really like your channel and hope it can grow alot.
Thanks for a great review,
Procedural. Procedure is how they control the difference between each states policies. The Olympics is a good example of the separation of company policy from the law. Governments are businesses that comply with company policy, not law. Policy can be purchased in the form of a Bill before Congress. Police policy is not law. Legal is not law. Courts are not law. Citizenship is not law. A US business is a US citizen. The business is a ship on the sea. A citizen is a crew member onboard the ship. Your legal name is a vessel called 'You'.
A black reactor that I watch said “it’s driving Miss Daisy in reverse” 😂❤
It is great to finally find someone reacting to this excellent film. Thank you! Much appreciated.🙏
56:55 It isn't just a comment about all cops being the same or not, it's also about a different experience in north vs south.
How have I missed this movie until now? Enjoyed the film and the reaction.
Great reaction! U have a new sub❤
I love this movie. I watched it like 3 times and I get all exited every time. I love it. I watch it with every person I know.
This is one of those feel good movies, I watch this at least once every festivus
You certainly got another sub for reacting to this masterpiece
I'm confused as to why no one has made a reaction video of this movie. Because it's a very good movie.
Is it because this movie has a sensitive topic?
@@ChaiwatDamsadee Because so many people labeled it as "racist". Especially when it won the "Oscar" for Best Picture. Everyone was either thinking the same or just scared to express a positive view. 🤯
This is a great movie, seen it several times
Great movie! Cinderella Man is another feel good movie.
Oh my god that is one of the best movies ive ever seen thankyou for sharing it with us and your reaction!
Great movie. Crazy that no one else is reacting to it!
TONY is the other image of Robert Denrio..
Brilliant movie & one of my favourite reaction channels. Good luck with the channel ♥️
Thank you so much 😀
Dear, I have seen this beautiful film several times in Italy: it was very successful here. It is a beautiful story about the birth of a friendship. Greetings from Milan, Italy

Once again, enjoyed it very much and very well done. Thank you!
You are very pretty.
Inflation money value 1962 to today is about 10 to 1. $50 is $500 today.
Thank you for reacting to this movie, it was a nice reaction video, pls upload more reaction videos.....
i wanted to watch the movie to be honest. thanks for keeping your vibe with movie...kept the flow steady.
Depends on what you say?
People love to twist things, that's all.. For example.. This is a re-upload, the first time I posted, it was taken down after a few weeks because of a copyright claim. The next day, I get a message from a subscriber saying I should be ashamed of myself for removing it!!! Haha so yes, the pressure on certain subjects is on!
@@amylorraine3776 :),for Shure. The world wouldn't turn if there weren't good people & they are, all over the world.
how about the movie

omg yessss this was so good :D thank you hehe
Hello, and I love your reaction to the movie 😙😊😊
🥰
A sundown town is a town that is so incredibly segregated that black people aren’t even allowed to live there and they can be arrested for not leaving by sundown.
It’s still like that to this day in some parts in America
This movie always made me tear up
Lol I watch Beard Meats Food too.
Love this movie. Great reaction

make reaction downfall
WoW great movie reaction!
You really must start watching some Tarantino movies.
nah thanks dummy
First time here, great reaction, subscribed from Australia!
Awesome! Thank you!
Bless you
Im here for deeper content than girls reacting to Star Wars and Avengers. I hope you continue to watch art and not movies.
Your eye makeup is flawless and perfect for you. Old habits. Makeup artist. I had fun. The south is so much worse than depicted in this movie. I was born and raised in Texas. Now live in Oklahoma. No changes except bad ones.
Thank you. Coming from a makeup artist, that is a huge compliment! I thought a few years ago that we were all taking a step in the right direction where racism was concerned, but as time goes on, I'm not so sure. 🙁
@@amylorraine3776 we WILL continue to win all of these fights and arguments and they will continue to strut around and SAY they won. We’ll just keep treating one another and others with decency no matter how awful they are.
Too bad that the "good ol' south" (good ??!) hasn't changed for real good.
Not one chance to improve, if trump gets "the job" in November...
Finally someone reacted to this modern masterpiece making everything Disney spew out look like trash.
Strange times we’re living in, Robert F Kennedy Jr, is denied Secret Service protection as a candidate for the Presidency of the United States of America. Compliments of our president.
This film is one big LIE
Thank you for your reaction to my favorite movie. ❤❤
I’m so happy I saw this movie when it released. It totally surprised me. Such a great film. Also, never seen anyone react to this. Kudos. Such a wonderful reaction. Loved it. 🫶🏽
