Gorgeous carbine. Always been a fan of that thing, nothing beats it for being a reliable and compact piece. My friend swears by his for dealing with coyotes
I remember seeing those for sale in Guns & Ammo back in the '80's. They came with a display case. They were trying to market them as commemorative models for vets who carried them during their service. I knew a guy who had a different model that was blued or parkerized (I can't remember which) with a medallion set into the stock. That was the only M1 Carbine I've ever fired. I could see, immediately, why they were so popular. Sweet shooting, for sure.

Beautiful I've never seen one(universal) all chromed, definitely need to get mine chromed out. Also dig the CAJUN part of your channel, I too am cajun.
Remember to check your Universal's recoil springs, and it never hurts to go ahead and upgrade those! Mine on my little Universal were rather wonky and wallowed out, and a bud of mine had his operating slide crack from a bad spring. Otherwise they're great and fun little carbines
@@cajunballistics4909 Not really, the replacement springs are pretty dang cheap and easy to find on eBay and Numrich, just keep an eye on 'er and she'll do well
@@dukecraig2402 Not that I've seen on my own searching, but the springs you can order are made by Wolff, and are called Extra Power recoil springs (just specify you're looking for Universal Carbine springs, which is listed on their website under M1, or just look up "Universal Carbine Recoil Springs"). They're tougher stuff and run well. A pack of 2, the amount you'll need for a full replacement, is about $12 (not including tax and shipping). Pretty much the issue with the stock Universal Carbine springs is they can be quite noticeably weakened and worn with age and use, not to mention they were made a bit cheaper with the later models, and can lead to the gun beating itself up if you don't replace those springs.
