This is a really good sermon. I struggle not to watch scary movies. For the past week I've wanted to see a particular movie in the theaters. I knew it would be swinging the door wide open for the devil to get a foothold. Last Sunday, as I started preparing to leave for the theater, I remembered 1 Corinthians 10:13. I had a choice and I knew that I didn't have to follow through with seeing the movie. I could stay home. As hard as it was, I stayed home. Then, _yesterday,_ I started having the desire to go see that movie again. I actually got into my car and was nearly halfway to the theater when I turned my car around and went back home. I had texted my aunt about it as I was headed toward the theater and she promptly responded and advised I not go. I again remembered 1 Corinthians 10:13, that I had a way of escape. Although I cried because I really wanted to see this movie, I chose to drive back home. It wasn't without difficulty but I have no doubt it was worth it.
