It happened to me last Friday I bought a sealed armored mewtwo promo I opened it sent it off and got a five with creases and dents with a line of whiting
Cards were not lost, cards were obviously stolen by an insider threat. PSA is becoming the scummiest grading company as of lately
Not scummier than CGC
Not even close to CGC or any of the other smaller companies. BGS's customer service is ass too and they literally give hardly any updates during the grading process

Validity was the right word to use there lol. Sorry this happened to you. Ive seen too many stories about good cards going missing and i dont think ill ever use PSA. Even the carrier steals cards from registered and insured mail.

I bet theres a psa employee either stealing cards or replacing 10s with lower rating cards and claiming they damaged them or both even. Seems a bit suspect to me.
Hey man, appreciate the Public Service Announcement for PSA grading experiences nowadays. I personally feel that it make sense for PSA to refund you the difference in value IF they do return you the damaged cards. The card would have been $100 + $15 (grading fee) and they refunded you the difference of $70 + $15 (grading fee) + $30 (damaged card). Essentially the equation is balanced on both ends. Once again, great content man and sorry to hear that sour experience.
hell yea bro i def agree IF they would’ve done that lol, they weren’t offering 70+15+30 though… only 70+15 😭 i just thought that was kinda wack caz they said it’s worth 100, then damaged it then didn’t wanna give 30, but they made it all good in the end 😎

PSA has a sweet scam going on. I still think they should support their grades with written documentation even if it takes the process a bit longer. And while the m wishing: video record the grading process and email link to submitters for viewing purposes
I think them losing Ewok's cards was an inside job. A huge company like PSA, its no accident that they lost $27,000 worth of rare and valuable cards.

I had an Elesas sparkle from Vstar universe get damaged during the shipping/grading process(grading I think since no other cards are damaged) I am extremely weary of sending off any more cards

PSA giving you the difference makes sense. You will get your card back plus the $70 and the fee to grade it. You would have lost money either way since it was a 9. Speculating and saying they gave it a 9 instead of a 10 so that they didn't have to pay you the 10 price is a stretch. All this being said assuming you will get your damaged card back. They are sending it back, right?

Glad they are at least admitting wrong doing and not teting to deny it when they damage cards in these cases.
A friend of mine had a poncho pikachu damaged at PSA. It was proven they dinged the corner using the scans.. they paid my friend out on a 10. Could’ve easily said it was supposed to be a 9 but they did in fact own up to it being a perfect card otherwise and paid him out $2400 USD. This was just a month ago.

The 70 makes sense if you also got your card back with a PSA6 grade. If you didnt get the card back, you got robbed:)

Whew, this is all a lot to sort through but maybe I can give them a shot after all. Still hesitant but at least hearing first hand they are open to resolution helps!

Preach. Yes All gading companies will make errors. So far PSA is the best at handling the mistakes and damages to collectibles. So far i have graded over 600 cards with them, no damages yet or lost items. So far so good. Great vid!!! Oh and EFF CGC!!!!
not sure about the issues, but turnaround times are insanely good right now. PSA received my latest submission 1/2/24 and my grades were ready yesterday and shipped out today. my previous submission took 5 weeks also.

This is why I will never grade any of my cards with ANY of the companies big or small. And I have over 10gs in raw cards that I WAS considering in grading at one point. But I’m not taking those chances. 🤷♂️

Being in the UK, we use a PSA approved dealer so luckily they do any work for us if theres any issues. I have CGC so i refuse to use them. PSA/BGS for me, :)
I have also found a scam within Pokemon actually I'm still doing some tests and trial on my hypothesis but I think I'm onto something with Pokemon 151 and there's a local shop near me and me and the shop owner or on to something that they are purposely damaging some of the full arts.. people come into the shop and literally open up a box get it out the box and it's damaged as apparently LP grade (Lightly played)

Grade cards = Stocks its all about making a profit off of something you purchased at a lower dollar amount. This is why i don't want or need to grade my babies i care way to much for them. I cant be sure what will happen in the time they leave my house.

I literally have PSA slabs with dirt and hair inside it. Once I'm done with completing my goal I'm done with graded slabs for good

PSA seems to be damaging rounded corner cards, but I haven’t been hearing about sports cards getting damaged, so to me it sounds like they have a machine that is flawed.
Have you heard of any recent f-ups from PSA ? Or have they gotten quality control leveled up?

Like you I like graded cards so I send cards that others probably wouldn’t but I send what I like.
PSA graded my card incorrectly and refuses to correct the issue.

I’d love to see a breakdown of why cards get the grades they do by graders. I have some cards that seem flawless and get bad grades and vice versa.

@@ShinyVert it sucks that they lost them, but just what they did after is why im still positive about them, just consistant updates about what they are doing and about the value they are able to pay out and all. if this would have happened with a CGC submission I wouldnt have gotten this much back from it.

Yeah..you're wrong about the blastoise/piplup. Market 9 was $100, market 6 was $30. They offer you the difference, not the full value of the card, since they are giving you the 6 back. $100-$30 = $70 + $15 fees = 85. They don't give a shit what you paid, nor should they, that email was pathetic. They don't give a shit if you thought it was a 10 and you're losing money. They have always done a difference, its how their guarantee works as well.
