What a great tutorial! So nice when the confusion I've had from other explanations of the basic operations of this this awesome synth is wiped out in orderly fashion!
So basically, the subharmonicon is like a guy tripping on LSD, while wearing a tuxedo. Great tutorial. I need to spend more time on this synth. Thank you.
That was well explained and thank you. When the polyryhtmn knobs are turn and their buttons lit, are they synced to the main clock? It sounds as if they are playing what they like and when? Also...I have only had mine 24hrs so about the sequencers 1 and 2. Can seq 2 be set to run immediately after seq 1 has run? Thereby giving an 8 step sequencer? OR are they both completely seperate from each other but synced to gether?
Very good tutorial, thanks very much. Does the Subharmonicon also make sense for people who want to use nothing but an external sequencer? Can I modulate a drone and use the sequences instead of a complex envelope or even an lfo? And is it possible to adjust the sound so that this basic Autobahn-sound doesn't immediately jump out at you?
Nice emphasis on the experimentation. This is such a great synth. While it is somewhat easy to get musical stuff out of it, I am finding it a little difficult for getting playmates to understand it's quirks. Namely I am trying to have it play a backing structure while another synth takes lead....
What Reverb is being used? What is it like without? Great Video BTW . Subscribed. Been fence sitting for a while but this has both inspired and demystified it
Great explanation. Just wondering how do I connect it to my MacBook Pro and my Behringer Neutron. Does it have Midi In- Out and how can I trigger the Neutron or Vice versa?
Thanks for this video, wonderful instrument, just to clarify, is there some sort of external reverb and delay effect on the audio we hear? Or is the instrument generating this effect? Or am I imagining things.
At about 10.47 the 3rd rhythm generator is assigned to sequencer 2. Even though all the mixer knobs for oscillator 2 are turned down, the sound/rhythm changes. Could someone explain this behavior to me? It’s as if rhythm generator 3 affects sequencer 1 even though it’s assigned to sequencer 2. This happens on my subharmonicon and I don’t understand why.
Whoops, sorry for the delayed response! Because any active rhythm generator will retrigger the whole synth every time it triggers, even if it's applied to Oscillator 2 which may be turned down. Oscillator 1 and 2 don't have separate output filters and VCAs, that trigger independently, they share a global one.
SourceDistributionTV thanks. I did figure it out but good to have it in writing. The subh is a great synth but hard to tame... maybe it must remain wild forever
What a wonderful introduction. I was a bit scared of it but feel more confident now.
Wow, this is by far the best quick intro to this synth I've seen! Subscribed!

DUDE this is HYSTERICAL!! 😀🎹🎶
been watching loads of videos on the Subharmonicon and this one by far sold it for me! great overview, cheers.
Thank you! This is a very good intro to get one started. My Subharmonicon will arrive the day after tomorrow and I'm ready to dive in!
It was such a pleasure listening to you. Awesome walk through!!! Thanks alot
By far the most helpful video for getting started on this precious beast. Thank you very much good sir
Excellent tutorial!!! I just bought my Subharmonicon today, so your video is very useful. Looking forward to exploring it.
Excellent, thankyou.
I bought one & expect it to arrive in a few days.
This has helped enormously, & I've subbed on your substance.
Excellent tutorial. Makes me want to buy!
When I played around with the device for the first time, it made me despair. Help!
Your video helps me to tame the beast a little. Thank You!
A truly excellent walk-through of a great musical instrument. Nice one 🍺
Fantastic refresher. Thank you.🙏
great to know after 3 months, that the EG button has a drone function. Man, I need to read the manual more carefully .-)
Nothing wrong with that. Every day is a school day!
You and me both. I have had the instrument since release, and learned three new things about it in the first five minutes of this excellent video.
Cool tutorial, I am looking forward to understand my Subharmonicon, DFAM and Mother
Thank you for a really great tutorial
Subscribed 😃
Thanks. This was very helpful
Great tutorial! Thanks!

Nicely explained
My guy. Thank you.

I’m getting the sun harmonicon in the next few day. I want to get the DFAM and the Mother as well. Which one should I get first?

Hahaha same here!
Thanks.

fantastic video :) are vyou using va reverb pedal in this video?
Dat melody at 10:55 😏👌
Great explanation. Just wondering how do I connect it to my MacBook Pro and my Behringer Neutron. Does it have Midi In- Out and how can I trigger the Neutron or Vice versa?
It only has a MIDI in
But it has cv outputs on the patch panel
THANK YOU..............
Q: What does Mylar Melodies do when he's at work? A: Exactly the same as when he's not at work!
🥳
It will be fine to have the possibility to choose 1,2,3 or 4 steps in the sequencers ...
That was very helpful! Thank you!
Thanks for this video, wonderful instrument, just to clarify, is there some sort of external reverb and delay effect on the audio we hear? Or is the instrument generating this effect? Or am I imagining things.
I have this instrument. I can confirm that it is being processed by some external effects :)

@@damienwebb3689 if you want to sell yours I can buy it
fresh
Imagine if you could save and load patches, like with the Sub 25.
Is it bassy??
If you program it to be, oh yes.
Very !
Only as bassy as Moog.
Waiting for my subharmonicon to come
Same
Whenever you get a great sound - you stop and change the subject. Interesting.
Would have been nice to hear it without all the reverb.
Great Tutorial Thanks!
GREAT tutorial!
