I have watched and enjoyed Chef Pepin for many years. I think it is great to bring a guest on to visit with the Chef and his viewers. Go’s back to the days when he would cook with his daughter. This young lady is very talented and really puts a lot into making a delicious looking and very appealing cake. Best of luck to her in the future.

Loved how much it seemed like Jacques was the child, learning from somebody, after he's been a teacher for decades. The implication being he's a lifelong learner. Guest appearances, with people/chefs who appreciate Jacques' work and legacy, but who are teaching HIM their cooking knowledge, would be novel and interesting episodes.

It's always a treat to see others with Jacque Pepin! More interestingly, younger people. These are the things young people need to be exposed to and yes, by their parents if schools don't offer home economics. This is the age where older children allow themselves to enjoy and experiment and can excel at a subject, like this young lady. Whether it be cooking, baking, sewing, music, sports children have to be introduced to it and made to go for it. At age 67, now, my sister taught me to embroider, needlepoint and bake bread at ages 13 -15. I remember barely being able to hand mix bread dough in my 20s, thinking what am I going to do in my 60s?! But this is the age it starts. I hope younger folks have a chance to watch this and I hope it intrigues them to try - before other "things" enter their lives. And this shows just how much fun it is, too!
Thank you for a terrific session with Jacque Pepin 🥰

Chef Pepin has always been so gracious, humble and respectful to any/all of his guests but - using your phrase - i don't think he should ever take a "backseat" to anyone. i understand his heart/loving nature, especially with children as in the past with Shorey and here with Kelly, but i feel we lose his expertise, insight and teachings

I love the respect & appreciation that Chef Pépin shows other chefs. Kelly might be young, but not only is she a fabulous cake maker, she can do something that Chef Pépin cannot.
The look on Chef Pépin's face when Kelly told him her Father taught her how to make cakes was priceless. I can just imagine his mind going back to the memories of him teaching Claudine how to cook. Wow.
I really enjoyed this segment. Two master chefs, in the kitchen, side by side, doing their thing. How glorious.
