That's Beautiful i been wearing braids for over 30yrs.. And I've just started braiding my own hair. Was spend $150-$200 and it never be to my Absolute Liking, just OK. So i been practicing on my own hair. My friends be asking who did my braids. I feel So Good to say Me. Thick, Ful shoulder length hair, with edges at 57. I truly believe wearing braids all those years paid off.
Same here. However, as I get older, I wish I had a friend or someone who I could trade and barter with as in do my hair I'll do yours or vice versa. Holding my hands above my head all day just makes it taxing. What state are you in?
Just needed slightly bigger parts in comparison to the amount of hair used so it’s not causing too much tension especially around the edges. The length/ weight of the extensions can also cause tension, just gotta make sure everything is in a good ratio for the sake of the scalp. ❤ ❤❤
Me too! I poor boiling water on a towel in a line, then use a second towel so I don't burn my hands, and rub that onto the hair in sections. It removes the stiffness while keeping the kinkier look. 😊

I got so many ideas from this video!! Thank you for posting it. Especially because my hair is thin once stretched. I like how full this looks when finished. If I were to twist only MY hair it would be super thin and underwhelming. I like that you braided the beginning of each twist. Imma have to practice that on the back of my hair. And watching you separate thr fluffy hair was key. I kept tangling it before. I also like you staggard the parts to give the illusion of fuller hair.
Love it I used to get my hair done like this back in the day QUESTION do you gauge how long her real hair is to not damage it when dipping into the water ? My hair is very long I wouldn’t want it dipping with the fav hair as it can be damaging to my real hair ?
Thank you! I usually just dip as much of the hair as I can but if the person requested to only dip the ends then I do that. It’s up to your preference!
Also water boils at a temperature lower than most ppl put their flat iron on. It’s a different process as it’s water. But if that helps when you think of heat damage. But better safe than sorry. Just dip the ends. The hair looks beautiful not dipped at all makes it look even more natural.
Correct! I used one strand for three twists on her head essentially. If you do it shorter mini twists you can get 4-6 twists from one full strand depending on how separate the hair. Hope that helps!
@@gailanderson9167these are not to be kept in as locking tool. The hair normally used for that concept is human hair. Hair will still grow but not lock in the twist.

This looks amazing. Did you add the 3 pieces of 1 strand to 1 twist to get that length? Since it’s 16” did you stretch the 1/3 piece of hair to get them that long?
Too much added hair for me causes thinning. Style is very beautiful, but I would love to see a protective style like this that is safe for my high porosity 2b/3b hair.
How much did you charge her? The place I wanna go to is charging me $300 and I also want them shoulder length or a little shorter and idk if that's fair or not...
Yeah I was confused when she said to make sure you’re “gentle” with the edges 😂 that was not gentle nor loose. Marley hair is so rough it will shred right through her edges on top of it being tight
@@AnastasiaMonet Oh, I get it. I am one of those people that loves DIY especially if I can save cash to shop with someone where else 😂 It takes 5-7 hours. My hair is bra strap length. I blow dry it out to assist in the parting. I keep them up 3 months at a time so it seems like a win to me. I would love to be a braider, you all accomplish so much and give the world peace in beautiful styles 💜💜
It looks to me like the client may have fine/ thin hair not that it’s to tight. Each person has a different density of hair it appears that this ladies hair is less dense than usual. But we would have to ask the client if it’s too tight or not to be sure 🤷🏽♀️
All these comments talking about her hair is just fine/thin is exactly why most black women aint got no hair. All I am saying is this is not a protective hair style for her. The point of a protective style is to promote growth while preventing damage. But it is not the same for everyone. If u hav thinner/finer hair then adding extensions or tension is not gonna help ur hair. Sure it may look cute but it is not a "protective" hair style. I have 4c hair (legit 4c) down to my waist n to grow it i had to understand wat my hair could handle n what causes breakage. Yes this came out cute but all I'm saying is it is not a protective hair style if ur scalp looks like this
I respect that the client may not have want to have shown her face. Would you please find a way to show the front and the sides of the hairstyle? That would be able to give me a better idea of what it truly looks like. (Perhaps the client to could cover her could cover her face with a paper or some other opaque object.)
I disagree with blow drying the hair especially for this style. But great job,.i know her fingers are hurting. I did this style for my two daughters before they went back to school.
Everyone's hair is different. My daughter's 4C hair has INSANE shrinkage and needed to be blow-dried/stretched for this style with extensions. However, my hair (3B, 3C) doesn't need the blow-drier for this style with extensions. So, I guess it's all in how the natural hair behaves with the extensions. 🤷🏽♀️

can you moisturize and wash your hair with synthetic extensions?
That is beautiful
So when you separated the hair into three strands, did that create three separate twists? So one full strand creates three twists?

dipping it ruins the ends.i learned this.
Use a shallow pot or cup, it damages your hair. The key is just to dip the synthetic ends
Hello, does the ends of that hair get curly?
Are you doing a regular two strand twist or are you twisting as you are twisting? This is gorgeous
Thank you! I am twisting as I twist.

In the beginning, she said 1 piece for 1 twist.. she just separated the hair & was able to get 3 pieces for 3 twist
Is there a way to keep the ends kinky after dipping? I noticed how straight the ends got after dipping and trimming
Don't dip it. Instead use a hot towel to wipe down the edges. Then use the mouse

Yes! I can’t find ANY tutorials with my hair type and density and it’s incredibly frustrating.
How many packs would you recommend using on someone with a smaller head and low density hair?
I would say you should be good with about 3-4 packs
very cute!!

How did you get 16 inches to look so long on the hair? 👀
I bought 24inch because I thought I would need more length…..
If you stretch it a little before twisting it will come out pretty long.

Great job! How long did this style take?
Thank you! This length and size took about 10hrs
I tried dipping and it straightened the ends and was not the look I was going for
There's no need to dip it. Twist until the end and clip off any straggly hairs. The only time I dipped twists was when i wanted the ends curly.
The hair is gorgeous! But I want to know how long it took, how long she kept them in for, and how many twists there were in her head!!!
Hey! It took about 10 hours, it’s been about a month and a half. She has taken great care of them so far. For the number of twists idk about that.
@@SimplyaStylistare you still offering booking for this style? Cause I need to book my flight 😂

Can you crochet instead of braiding?
Gorgeous I wish my hands could do this lol
How much did you charge her? The place I wanna go to is charging me $300 and I also want them shoulder length or a little shorter and idk if that's fair or not...
Do them yourself. That’s expensive
How did you avoid the crinkle look ? The twists are never straight when I do it, it crinkles up
When you dip the hair in hot water it straightens out and then I finish it off with mousse.
@@SimplyaStylist thank you love
Why the heat? Whats the point in straightening the hair???
Blowdrying the hair at the beginning gives the style a sleeker look but heat is definitely up to the person to choose or not
To tight, the tightness will surely thin her hair and edges
Yeah I was confused when she said to make sure you’re “gentle” with the edges 😂 that was not gentle nor loose. Marley hair is so rough it will shred right through her edges on top of it being tight
And her hair already looks thin
What do you charge for these smaller twists?
how many packs of hair did you use?
Hey! I used about 6 packs of the Cuban Twist marley hair in 16 inches for this style.

I wasn't able to see the tips of the hair when you finish twisting before deepping in water
