Suzie, I know that this isn't going to erase your fears, however my mom wasn't good with school either nor could she swim but it in NO way made her a bad parent, or unlovable. I had to stop getting help from her in math in second grade, because she didn't understand fractions or anything beyond it. However, we did have my dad. In high school, we (my siblings and I) had each other too- one was a history person, one was science-y, another math, one was English and one was "street smarts" (meaning real life smarts, rather than book smarts). Just as Spy x Family said back in episode 4- we all have our strengths. Don't think because you aren't the best at something, or even good at something that it's something you will be disliked for. ^_^ My brother was almost able to teach her how to swim, but her fears got the better of her and we agreed to start teaching her fractions the summer she passed away. She was willing to try to learn math in her 70s! So, it really isn't too late to try to find or have the right teacher to learn something.
