I don't know why people say KICC was designed by Karl Henrik Nøstvik. Kindly find his contact and ask him if him or Mr David Mutiso designed KICC. It's like we can't be proud or believe that one of our fellow Kenyans could do such a job. Really people - get it together. Be proud of you're fellow Africans and let's continue to build Africa for Africans.

African architects in newly independent countries worked under master architects or professional leads who were a carry-over of colonial administrations. Karl Henrik Nøstvik was such a carry over so some concept design input could have been a young architect David Mutiso's then but the real professional lead architect was the Norwegian Karl Henrik Nøstvik. The detailing shows in the extravaganza use of timber, a very Scandinavian Norwegian use of materials. Architect David Mutiso should be content at having been there at the right time as a supervising civil servant/ government assistant/ chief architect at the height of the "Africanization" of the civil service.

I thought Kicc was inspired by the coconut tree but hearing it from the father of Kenyan architects sets things straight. He is truly an inspiration to this generation of builders

How is this man the first Afrikan architect? So then, who designed thousand the houses, buildings, structures, cities, etc., of the numerous Ancient Afrikan civilizations then? I guess you'll never heard of the great Imhotep, the world's first recorded multi genius (the very same that designed the world'sfirst stone structure). You need to step up your game and dig deeper, much deeper into Afrikan history!! Your caption is false! This man is an architect, but very, very far from "the first Afrikan architect!"

Check the facts on this! Wikipedia will give you some clues... Do not always believe what someone says about himself. Also READ the certificate, It is not related to what he is talking about.
