Did 2 weeks of nights during ER rotation… my body rejected it so hard! Was disoriented, running on adrenaline had diarrhea every time I ate something 😂 took me a week to get back to normal. It’s crazy how different people are when it comes to what they can handle. I worked Hospitalist until they wanted me to rotate days and nights. Now I work in a SNF. Most people would rather do ER night shift than geriatrics but I love it! Basically Hospitalist lite with less resources trying to keep people out of the ER. quite the challenge. I love my residents! Thanks for your awesome videos, have been following since PA school 🥰
Hi Adanna!! I’m starting rotations in the DMV soon and I am also interested in women’s health. However, I’ve been told women’s health PA jobs are becoming saturated by NPs. Was it difficult to find your women’s health job? I want to work 12 hour shifts since this is what I did before PA school and I loveddddd the flexibility it gave me.
So helpful! I start rotations next year. My heart is already set on cardiac; however, I am equally curious about other specialties.
