I honestly can't think of a single show besides the Red Green Show that either maintained its quality or improved over time. Most shows start declining after 30 or so episodes but Red Green was actually better at episode 230 as compared to episode 30.
The addition of the live audience really gave them all a boost. That 1992 year was a travesty; glad they left it far behind. It just was not them at all.
In my opinion, the show starts to improve at season 6. Seeing as I grew up with cable in the early 2000s, I had never heard of this show until about a year ago when I was watching a Trailer Park Boys episode and Bubbles references it. I spent the past few months watching bits & pieces of the first five seasons and just didn't care for how they felt slower paced and not as exciting, but sometimes I'd find myself watching highlights from later seasons and remind myself "okay, I gotta keep watching the full episodes, it'll get interesting at some point, right?"
@9:30 the Red Green maple syrup dispenser on the desk. Red ( Steve Smith ) said his wife, Morag made that for him. Check out their excellent series, Smith and Smith.
Bill does not a Pooh Bear make. lol. I have loved your show from the first time I saw it and have been a huge fan ever sense. I started watching it when I got back to America after visiting Whistler Resort. PBS had it but limited episodes. I could repeat them word for word. I'm so glad to be able to see so many more now that you're on RUclips. I wish I could afford to see one of your shows in person, maybe some day. Thank you so very much for all the crazy humor. Such a great cast. Handy man corner is my favorite. I also love all the inventions, I always wander who all comes up with the ideas for them. I'm ROFLMAO every time I watch. 😂😂😂😂😂
My 8 year old son turned me on to the show back in the early nineties. He'd have his buddies over and they would be laughing downstairs hysterically. So I went down to check it out... As soon as the d v d's were available I bought them.
Bob Bainborough wrote the lobby scenes, the Handyman tip, the Handyman Corner, the Midlife, the Experts, and even the Adventure film for this episode. Shaun Graham wrote the Word Game sketch and Campfire Song, and Peter Wildman wrote the New Member Night sketch, which IIRC was his last written sketch for the show.
I like how Dougie Franklin was mentioned here after his departure since Season 7. Also, Dalton's friend Sid Larson is wearing Red and Harold's shirt design from said season.
@Pissantloser Wasn't it. It was full of big transitions which at the time I hated, but I think it bought the shop a lot more time by sort of making it fresh again. If they didn't try this, it may have only lasted to 10 or 12 seasons rather than 15 (or more if they wanted to continue).
this show just brings comfort ...laughs ....and a great time .
The opening with the pants and the plywood and the duct tape and the table saw was funny. True genius.
I'm pretty sure it would work, too!
@3:05 Harold's face when Ranger Gord says trees travel in gaggles...
I love the Red Green Show! The only show I can think of that got better the longer it ran.

@@andrewhaywood1262 I noticed new life in the show the year they got a live audience. It made a huge difference. There was connection.
@@virginiamoss7045 Steve Smith himself has gone on record saying that 1992 (Season 2) was the worst of the series.

I'm a big fan of this show. When you need a laugh, they deliver, big time. Peace.
Love the expressions on Harold's face when it's something funny
It popped into my feed one day, I vaguely remembered it. Now I'm watching a couple episodes a day. Feeding my RUclips addiction.
i love when Gord wins the word game and when the bell rings: "FIRE! FIRE!!!" xD

Justinatha Jones my pbs station in Rhode Island aired every episode of this show👻

Aww, Wayne. Rest in peace, man.

Bobby bainborough!?.... His parents must have had a sense of humor as well
9:47.
Red: Men don't need that.
(men in the studio audience agree by saying "No!")
"Trees don't travel in anything."
"Oh really? What about a logging truck?"
XD
"A bunch of trees."
"OH! A FLOCK!"
98 was a great year for the show :)
I feel like being fancy with a new pair of socks!
So good!
Mike: Do unto others before someone does it to you
XD
If you lube your brakes, you don't have them until the lubricant rubs off. That can take awhile.
His best friend in the whole, wide room, Mike Hamer.
Love this show👻🤖😊
This was the last episode that Peter Wildman worked on as a writer.
That's NOT a Bee Hive. That's a Wasp Nest! It is funny though.
Hornets nest but they are in the same family as wasps, just the hornets are bigger assholes then wasps.
Only if it does not happen to you.
Is anyone else thinking of Winnie the Pooh during the bit with Walter?
OMG; Bill was Senor Bumblebee all along! "Dos huevos, por favor..." (SFX: two splats as eggs hit Senor)
Thomas Lauffenberger aye yi yi!
I like how Dougie Franklin was mentioned here after his departure since Season 7. Also, Dalton's friend Sid Larson is wearing Red and Harold's shirt design from said season.
And that is how you disturb a hive of bees. Hit it with a hockey stick!
11:35 Possum 911.
I see Red was listening to Gord's camoflauge lessons from a few seasons back
It's the Redgreen show
HAHA..@ 11:21 someone from the audience yells Yummy!!
they must have said to the new comers at the lodge ....keep a straight face and stand there.
Bill is so Funny i can stop laffing
MaceMP4-6Iron agreed👻
20:23 Thousand yard stare
😂😂😂
When did Bill start talking? I liked the Bill segments better when he was quiet!
Jonathan Kerbein this season, he had a single line the previous season but this is the first time Bill has been audible instead of miming
😂
skipped some episodes i see. lol
Not me!
It’s a Breeze
