Love love this! I'm planning to get started as a digital nomad in Bali! Looking to travel in March for 3-4 months and this video definitely helped to ease my anxiety! My main worries right now are running out of money, but I know I'm just going to love it as soon as I'm there and think WHAT was the stressing about lol!
Eeeek! So excited for you!! Yes you'll totally love it :D It's very natural to be scared - and smart to plan ahead financially..... but it's so much easier to get clients, connections, inspiration, business ideas, etc, once you're actually on the road and meeting other nomads. I've accelerated an insane amount just from meeting amazing people and getting their help. Where are you planning on heading first??
Dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me atm then you can watch all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Been watching with my brother lately :)
Great video, you clearly explain everything what people who are new to nomads want to know. I want to start very soon too and your videos are very helpful. Thanks
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I'm not an english native speaker, but I feel so well listening to you! I will try to be a nomad worker, and I really appreciate your tips. I need to earn money from my chair and my laptop...
...I mean I don't really know what to write anymore after I watch your videos, without sounding like some DN fanboy or like you pay me to write them, lol. Each one is so helpful, so clear, concise, well thought out and (on and on)............. Inspiration and simplicity come to mind. Let the details work themselves out as they may. Love the thoughts on starting faster, making quicker decisions, quitting faster. The ability to be flexible, change gears, and keep focused on the goal is SO important, not just as a digital nomad, but just generally in life. If something fails, who cares? Try something else. Learn to fail early and often, hehe. Great content as always, Louise. Cheers!
I honestly never get tired of reading these comments Rich. Thank you so much for always taking the time to message me. Love that you're still enjoying the videos! Always feel free to request specific topics too - you're definitely on the VIP list! Have an awesome week :D
Hi Louise!!! thank you so much for all your vlog posts!!!! I am learning so much and getting inspired at a constant incremental rate!!! Thank you so much! Amazing!! Really want to do this myself...
Great video thanks. I'm starting with challenging myself to build up to earning the minimum I would need to live off working evenings and weekends from home alongside my full time job. If nothing else it gets me some savings and shows I can do it, then aim is to move to travelling round UK in time.
yeah the $10 thing is a nice tip... kinda why you'll see a lot of brick and mortar stores frame their first $1 they earned. Sooo hard to put a cap on hours when you get into a project. Like for me, I've been giving 110% to my digital nomad youtube channel. After my first month reflection (if you're curious ruclips.net/video/WrPTomqIwVU/видео.html) I realize I need to be wise with my time, only focus on what brings the most benefit for time spent, and generally do less. Even if it means slower progress, I need to keep my sanity lol! Question: What's your digital nomad idea?
You're so welcome! Thanks for the support :D I guess it's the same as everything in life - you get back what you put in :) If you can do a day week then go for that, and if you can do full time then even better! Entirely up to you :D
The fewer items that you own, the fewer items that own you. Fit your life in a carry-on bag, a laptop satchel, and a one-way ticket. Spartan minimalism gives you unsurpassed freedom to enjoy the entire world.
Hey I'm a digital nomad as well so thought I'd hop in to answer this one. It's true more are in their 20s-30s but there isn't an official age limit! Anyone with a laptop, wifi and determination can make it happen! I have seen a couple in coworking spaces as well.
Location Independent That’s good to hear as I already have started to build an online income based around painting. I mainly concentrate on courses. I also make RUclips videos. I would love the opportunity to mix with other online workers to pass on tips and share ideas on how I might expand what I do. I just don’t want to look like the creepy old man in the corner! ;)
Not at all! And I just checked out and subbed to your channel. Wow! With 30K followers I think people would be looking up to you... I think a good part of the reason the demographic is skewed since younger people are generally more confident / capable with new tech and the concept of remote working in general (obvi there are many exceptions). But I'm in the exact same boat as you are! I'd love to connect and chat further, I'm going to shoot you an email now if you don't mind :)
I will be 45 this month and have had no issues transitioning into a digital nomad lifestyle. I think the biggest hurdles for older people involve taking the steps necessary to remove yourself from a traditional lifestyle. The changing of career (if needed), or finding/deciding on your new sources of income (and seeking the skills needed), the reduction of stuff, eliminating the need for a permanent residence, convincing family and friends you're not crazy, are all challenges early on. Younger people have it a bit easier because they haven't started families, been in long-term careers, don't own houses, don't have lots of debt and other responsibilities, and they tend to have a more open-minded support group of friends. In the end, getting your priorities straight will eventually lead to success as a digital nomad. If you do it for the right reasons, to find freedom, seek adventure, open your mind to new information and education, and a willingness to take a hard look at yourself and learn about yourself, it will be the best decision of your life. In some ways, older people do have the advantage of life experience and usually are making this as a long-term decision based on tangible goals, vs younger people who may just pursue it temporarily as a holiday before or after college and then settle down later. Additionally, older people who already have established careers in fields which lend themselves to an easy transition to a DN lifestyle basically have it made. You can't go wrong subscribing to Digital Nomad Girl, and watching Louise. She is a genius when it comes to delivering information and giving advice and tips on the lifestyle. Cheers!
Hey Mike, I'm a digital nomad too :) I know you weren't writing me directly lol but noticed your comment and always looking to connect with other digitalnomads! Just checked out your channel and subscribed (feel free to do the same if you like my digital nomad channel too :).
@@TMACMACHINE No, don't do that to start. They're salesmen, they won't make you rich. (if you are going to pay one of those borderline scammers, of course tai lopez is the best, cause he's the original) but overall, you can find all the information they can give you for free online. All those programs are good for, is psychological, cause you feel like you just bought "get rich quick", which makes it psychologically easier to start. If you spend your money, spend it on ads or other buisness expenses, not on some sleazy salesman trying to sell you his secret program to become a millionaire and grow your dick 30 inches over night.
Thanks so much! A lot of them are 20-30 because it's easier without kids. But there is also a growing group over over 50s, and it course any age! I did an interview with someone becoming a nomad over 50 (check it out on my channel) so you might find that interesting!
I'm sorry if my question sounds silly but what kind of work can be done online in order to make money??? Would it be something like digital marketing? Can you give me some examples please? I'd love to fully understand that to see if I can do it too.

Thank you for sharing those GREAT tips! I needed to see it today..... I like tip #2 & #6 . How many nomad time / hours should I devote on average?

Great video. Are digital Nomads generally young people? . Do you find people in there 50,s in co-working spaces?
