Having a Miroku 7000 and this gun, and i love the CG Summit the most. Never failed me. ❤️. No need for another gun. The trigger is much better on the Summit than Miroku/Browning. It also feets like tha targets slows down when i use the Summit, it simply fits like a glove.

Thanks for the insight. I'm liking my Magnus Field, 20 gauge, 30" barrels. It's my first O/U and it I feels a lot like my English SXS's. It was a little front heavy with the wood butt plate, but balances really well with a Kick-Eze pad on the back.

I have a summit sporting 32" about three years now and over 20000 rounds!!
Never miss a bit!!!I am now thinking to do the first servise!!the only thing that I dont like is that the hinge pins are too small for a competition gun like summit!!I dont know if this is a negative for the longevity of the gun!!
Second thing I dont like is the balance!! 32" barells are too front heavy!!for this reason I use flush chokes and a little weight at the stock!!
At Greece caesar guerini gives only 2 years guarandy and this is also a problem!!guerini now have raised up the prices and maby beretta 694 or browning pro sport is a better choice!!

Hi Jonny, another excellent video......having just bought a CG, there are a lot of videos on the Invictus range and a fair amount, like this on the Summit guns. How would you rate the Eclipse Curve though?.....there's very little out there on that particular animal.

The finish on the stock is very good initially, after use the stock will tarnish and go patchy. Look over the ribs very very thoroughly as defects have be known including the optical illusion that I’m told is caused by blueing the barrels when they have been too hot. I’ve had the loose solider, double discharges, discharging live cartridges 😂 and tarnishing to the action, finally got a new gun made from themselves and touch wood as at least been reliable the last 3 years but that’s not to say some of the above characteristics haven’t shown their ugly faces.
Not to mention Anglo Italia can be a complete and utter pain in the ass to deal with
All in I like my CG .....would I have another “probably not, better the devil you know with the one I already have”

Thanks for the video, Johnny. I love seeing the inner workings and hearing the "unfluffed" review of guns in this price range. Guerini is a hard one to pin down because I've heard wonderful and less than wonderful things about them, and it's hard to ferret out what is brand loyalty, snobbery, hearsay, and what is actually true. Now we just need to get a Chapuis sxs in your hands. ;)

I own a Summit Ascent Sporting now for 3+ years 37k rounds through it- malfunctions: second barrel not firing, 7 times now in competition... Wear: heavy galling on hammers from the rabbit ear connection supporting the ejector rods.. Galling on receiver face, galling of the barrels from the fore end wood, loose trigger guard (from factory), forward height adjustment screw in adjustable stock (cross threaded from factory), patching of stock finish (from factory), blue wearing off on opening latch level, blue wearing off of trigger guard and the good bit; it hits everything you look at... Yes, I love the gun and will probably send it in for a medical soon, but I do love this gun....
I have ordered a Krieghoff K-80 sporting (US Model) 12 ga. 32", 20 ga. 32" multi- barrel set, a robust clay killer designed for the pounding sport of clay shooting- granddad will pass the Guerini on to the Grandson after the it visits the doctor... Peace and good shooting.........

I bought a CG Flyway last year and first session shooting it the action would break open after firing the top barrel. I took it back and they cleaned the internal action and it fixed it. Still not 100% sure what the issue was

So what is the U.K. opinion on this actions reliability? The reason I ask is , shooting in Canada and some clubs in Michigan , I have seen more C.G.'s break in the middle of a weekend tourny than any other gun. I've always liked the look of the reviewed action, and am impressed by the amount of finishing work on the internals. But. Having seen so many of them break down , it's a bit off putting. I believe the most common issue has been the gun starts doubling. Any defenders? Opinions? Gunsmith comments? They are a beautiful gun.
