  • We had cabin 8418 on the Carnival Vista and it wasn't your normal interior cabin. It is sometimes called an inside inside cabin because of how it exists in a hall that is more interior than other inside cabins. Enjoy the tour.
    8418 is a 4G category type.

8400 interior: tiny and accessed from interior hallway, 8418 interior-interior: bigger, accessed from interior hallway off another interior hallway, 84XX interior-TARDIS: largest room on ship, but located at the end of mysterious hallway labyrinth

You need to bring along the over the door plastic shoe organizer again. 24 pockets to store and see all those little items. Cut it down the center for slimmer width. Game changer

Not mentioning any names or anything, but some people leave rather snobby comments, don't they? Lol
Thanks Tony, for showing us around! Nice little space I could definitely call "home away from home" for the duration of a cruise! 😊👍

One benefit would be reduced foot traffic outside your door because it's not the main corridor. We all know how noisy cruise people can get. Me, I gotta have the balcony.

I love how much room this has for an inside cabin! I’ve done just about every category from classic inside to mini-suite, and this is definitely a stateroom I’d be happy with. Can’t beat an inside for sleeping in total darkness (as you demonstrated)! 😀

End of hallway doesn't always work out. My first trip on Radiance of the Seas, our cabin was deck 3 at the aft end of the hall. EVERY evening after the dinner hour, you had to put up the noise of a VERY LOUD PUMP or some other sort of motor, in the utility area on the other side of the wall. It would run for an hour or more, so we learned to stay away from the cabin in the evening.

I love the room layout. I've been in a few balcony rooms with less interior floor space. I would say great value if you can live without daylight or truly just use a room to sleep and get ready for fun.

I was on the Breeze a couple of months ago and we were in a inside inside cabin. It took a minute to find the corridor our cabin was down. The cabin had a connecting door to the cabin next to us. It was cool.

I did forget to comment - it has been a number of years since I cruised in an inside cabin. It was so dark and quiet that I had to set the alarm or I would sleep late. Best sleep I ever had at sea. I didn't mind the inside cabin although Suzy couldn't do it. Not claustrophobic but the walls would definitely start to close in on her. I think it is a Hipp0 :)

Youre right, clothes never dry because limited circulation in the bathroom. Take the wet clothes to the self-serve laundry. Vista has at least 3. Carnival is the only cruise line that has that. I use it faithfully. love going home with clean clothes. There's an iron in there too.

3:06 Suction cup hook alert! I have two of those in my travel kit and I love them. One goes in the shower to hang my bath puffy and the 2nd one goes on a mirror and I hang my wireless headphones on it.!
Thanks for the room tour, Tony. When we first started looking at doing our first cruise, this is the type of room we were interested in. We decided to go for a balcony instead, but our next one will be this style.
Pro Tip: your room has to be warm for the clothes to dry on the clothesline.

So...I'm definitely choosing an interior room on my next cruise! They are better than the balcony on the ships from a couple decades ago.
I really think this could even fit my 2 little kids in there with us. It would be tight, but we wouldn't be in there long, and we are used to camping in tight quarters anyway.

We only travel in interior rooms to go on multiple cruises a year but man Carnival really makes their interior cabins look like dorm rooms. They're so plain compared to most other cruise lines. The one we went on in the NCL Joy was incredible and it was a lot smaller but was a lot more modern

My wife and I have sailed on the Carnival Magic and Carnival Triumph. Her brother and his wife always get an inside cabin. For just a few bucks more we got outside ocean view cabin. Seriously, the price difference was not very much - but the cabin square footage was Substantially Larger. The bathrooms were MUCH bigger! King Beds! Great Cabins! You two do very well staying in this interior space...which seems small to me. You seem extremely organized. I have only stayed in outside and balcony rooms. For wet clothes I buy the magnets with clips. As long as they aren't dripping wet I hang my clothes on them to dry. I travel with 5 bathing suits. First thing I do is hang each suit from a clip. Then when I'm done with suit I rinse them & let them sit for a bit so they don't drip. Then hang them by a magnetic clip to finish drying. By next morning it's dry.

WET CLOTHES-they don't dry on that little clothes line. Bring clothes pins or use your chair clips and attach them well to your lawn chairs on the balcony if you're lucky enough to have one. They dry pretty quickly in the sun and wind but the wind will take them so use several good strong clothes pins. If you leave them damp in a pile you will have an unpleasant odor of funky, moldiness in your cabin for the rest of the cruise.

  • @nancyt2539
    @nancyt2539 4 года назад

Tip for drying swimsuits faster - bring magnet hooks and hang your damp (not dripping) clothes from the magnet hooks on the ceiling in the main area of your cabin. Hang stuff in the path of the ac vent.
I love odd shaped cabins because you do get extra room in them.

Wassup Tony!! We use to do balcony cabins but lately have opted for interior for the cost savings, heck we can take that money and spend it in excursions. The cabin looks fine but the storage of closet and drawer space looks concerning, but anything will do for a week. Like the location....looks very quiet. We do take an alarm click with adjustable lighting to use as a night light/clock to save in outlet usage. Thanks for sharing.

First let me say I love your vlogs. You two are my favorites by far. Now: I like the layout of your cabin. We had an inside to Alaska on Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas. We had a couch also, but our layout was one long stretch from the door to the bed. I like yours better, except I feel we had a lot more storage. I had to laugh because our couch also became a toss and sort kind of area; yours just made me feel at home. We had a balcony with HAL in the Mediterranean and never really used the balcony. It just made us feel less “hemmed in”.
