Yepper - all of them! Every place has something! Some of our best memories are camping where most RVs don't go! Example, we camped in the back country in SD (yep there were a couple RVs) anyway since there were several kids the Rangers opened up a pond for a day of fishing & and had activities & they earned a patch! The house we lived in burned & the house owner took the insurance & said good luck! So we just hit the road for abt a yr with a dog & a cat! The memories will never be replaced. 😀
Dear Lauren and Daniel! You guys are like tour guides and promote supports for local at the same time! You both are so bubbly and enthusiatic! Love your programme! Philip T
Philip, thank you so much for the kind compliment! We genuinely appreciate it. 🙏The local initiative is a passion of ours and our goal is to inspire many others to get out there and support the small businesses in their own communities! We ❤️small businesses! L+D
Very cool to see the dam from water - we drove across it several years ago towing our old Scamp! Yikes, the water level looks low... the tunnel trail looks amazing - I’ve seen this trail in other videos, but forgot about it until now - excellent amount of info & history you share!
That's where we got our new annual pass back in February! This is where I'm (Tabetha) from, so I have grown up around here, but never stayed at this RV park until 2018. So crazy and just loved it!
My son lives in the town where Lake Mead is located. The lake levels have fallen so much. Where you are parked, for the boat ride, used to be covered by water. My husband and I will be heading there in a few weeks.
Thank you friends! We really enjoyed our time in Lake Mead. We can't believe we never knew it was there, despite how many times we've visited Vegas. Have you been?
Jorge, we LOVE exclamation points! 🤣❤️ We're loving California already. We spent last week in Josha Tree and are headed to San Diego today. California is so beautiful. ❤️
That was pretty Dam awesome! And yes, growing up around here, most of us did call it Boulder Dam for ages - not to mention - many folks disliked President Hoover so much, they really didn't want to give him the credit. Black Canyon River Raft tours on the other side of the dam to Willow Beach, AZ is also a fantastic thing to do in the area as well.
🤣Kurt, you know that us Floridians think all water is cold as soon as it goes below 75 degrees F. If it doesn't feel like bath water, it's chilly. 🤣 -Lauren
Where did you get that spice rack tilting drawer thingy? Also, the rope contraption holding your apples and other round fruits/vegetables looked cool. Where did you get those? Very cool kitchen organization.

@@Wanderlocal Awesome! Thanks so much. I will be checking out Amazon. Had a great 4 days seeing the foothills near Nordegg Alberta. Took my daughter on a Dad/Daughter trip after she graduated Uni. Thank goodness for heated and enclosed underbelly as the temperature dropped and we got a couple inches of snow in the high country.
Wow!!! Yisim, that’s incredible. We learned a lot about the miners building the dam. It sounds like the conditions were awful. I bet your Great Uncle had wild stories!
To make a long story short, sadly I never got hear his stories. I did meet him twice and we talked, he was a very good man. I’m so happy that you two are bringing history to life. Yes, these men that built these great monuments, had extremely hard lives. No jobs during the 30s, so when these jobs came, they worked really hard. I thank them for their service. Before, constructing Hoover dam, these men built Boulder City first, so they could have a place to live at during this time. I laughed when I finally went back to visit Hoover Dam, that it was a tourist place. I remembered several times crossing the dam, late at night, on our way to see my grandma in Tucson. At that time (80s) it was the way through. But the Tillman bridge is nice.
I forgot to ask, (I know that you all have your destination) but are you going to visit London Bridge at Lake Havasu City. It’s the actual bridge from London. They have it set up with a little British charm there.
When are you guys going to Alaska and Hawaii the weather in Alaska gets real cold starting around Oct, and during the winter it gets so cold that your RV pipes will freeze even with the heating pads. It also gets to -40F where your propane will not turn to gas it will remain as a liquid so no heat for your RV
James, holy moly! We will not be going to Alaska in the winter. 🤣Our blood is way too thin for all of that as Floridians. But, we are hoping to go to Alaska next summer. 💪
Ohhh, we'll have to put that on our list of places to look at staying in Maine. We haven't ever been to Maine, so we're really looking forward to visiting there - hopefully sometime late summer or early fall this year!
Hi Dustyn! Excellent question. Here's the link. www.amazon.com/dp/B07SZDZLQQ?tag=onamzwanderlo-20&linkCode=ic5&ascsubtag=amzn1.infl.us.product&creativeASIN=B07SZDZLQQ&ref=exp_wanderlocal_dp_vv_d
🤣We've asked ourselves that question a time or two since we arrived here about a week ago. But, overall we really do love California. It's a beautiful state. ❤️
Mike, we've heard so many good things about Lake Powell, too! We missed it on this trip, as e didn't make it that far north in Arizona. But, we've got it on our list to visit next time. ❤️ Have you camped there before? We'd love a campground recommendation!
@@Wanderlocal Never camped there, actually. We go there 3-4 times each summer and spend a week on our houseboat, so we are always on the water. The kids love to surf behind our ski boat. However, for campers, there is so much to see…. There is of course, Rainbow Bridge and also the slot canyons, which is not far from Paige, AZ and is another “must-see’”! Also, there are a number of hiking trails, including trails that were carved out with the covered wagons by the pioneers. The water temperature at the surface in the summer is always in the high 80’s and there is no better place to stay for a week as a family. To be honest, I’ve never been a camper. In fact, my idea of camping has always been the Marriott. Even the houseboat is more like “glamping’. Reminds me a bit of the Airstream. As we near “empty nester” status, we’re thinking about venturing to many of the other natural wonders this beautiful country has to offer and when we do, I’m convinced it will be in an Airstream. Keep up the great work. Really enjoy your channel and following the two of you through this adventure of yours.
I camped at the grand canyon several times with a tent the sites are big with a lot of room and walking trails close by you can take a ridding tail down to the bottom by mule train
@@jamesfederspiel4989 Yellowstone is also on our bucket list, but we are going to wait until it's off-season. Too many people out there right now for us.
James, that seems crazy! I (Daniel) recently talked to someone and they were telling me that diesel fuel could freeze too. Have you ever heard of that?
Sandra Westley from the UK we experienced lorries or trucks as you would call them, we went skiing to France and it was minus 25 C which is -13F as we motored down through France we saw lorries lighting fires under there diesel tanks to warm them up, on the side of the Motor ways-so I guess the answer is Yes you can get frozen tanks with diesel.
I did that is why you see heating pads on the tanks the diesel fuel will turn to a gel most cars have block heater to keep the oil in the block warm so it will mot freeze and the engine will start and you have them on the transmission to
you must lets the engine and transmission warm up before you drive otherwise you could ruin the transmission because the fluid in it is frozen also don't get a heating pad for your truck battery or your RV battery because if the battery gets to warm it will vent and blow up
What is your favorite National Recreation Area?

When you make it to Hollywood, the real Bat Cave, used during the original Batman TV series, is in Griffith Park. An easy hike for y’all!
