are using the big screen?? i mean i allways loved this module after warping my head around. it took me couple of moths. the first 3-4 months i hated it. i also had a faulty factory sd card. lots of functions didn't . but that all history. now i own the big screen and this module has become so easy and logic. i remmoand everyone who uses this module: GET THE BIG SCREEN!!
Is it possible, in some futur update, to add timestretch to the whole thing ? Let's say you record a loop with a clock input. The loop is synced to the clock. You slow down the clock, the loop slows down and get time streched, and it's still synced. That would make it the ULTIMATE looper in all eurorack
YES!!! I was waiting for this but that was quick. And I think you just achieved success in my never-ending quest for a stereo looper with proper synchronization.
@@ExpertSleepersLtd Yeah but we both know (obviously you since you designed it) that your Tape Speed algo on this disting ex is based on Augustus Loop.... so..... why not? Other than not wanting to cannibalize sales of the Augustus Loop.
I might have to get this module just for the looper alone, i don't think anything like this in eurorack has existed yet. Could you also map the faderfox's faders to the volume of the loops BTW?
@@ExpertSleepersLtd it works! Not having the new V2 for all new firmware made the module not work properly. Thanks for responding. Love my new disting!
Woow that is what i was looking for.. Question, in Overdub-mode, can i remove the last recording only? Lets say the 5th of 5? Or even the 4th of 5 maybe..?
@@ExpertSleepersLtd Ah ok. Hmmm, 16bit is good enough i think.. And in stereo then? But unfortunately the length.. One minute would be great ☺️ thx for answering ✌️
Thanks for those improvment great job as usual ES 😉 I have also a " complain" : I just tryed the new firmware 1.3, and all the wav algorythm( in dual mode ) are unusable. The J6 algo for exemple make the module freezing, lagging, or cuting when we change parameter on the fly like the enveloppe lenght... Other exemple, when you select J3 the module freeze definitly and we have to reboot the rack... All those glitch and bug was the same and already reported in the previous 1.2 version. Im sure you'll find a way to fix it. Thanks in advance. Cheers.
This has become one of the main brains in my studio for composition and recording. You're a bloody legend!

your works, Os, & your clear & patient demos of your works are always greatly appreciated. also... loving the #podularmodcast blank panel. ;-)
We choose to use these tools not because they are easy.....

amazing! a loop function for the mk4 is number one on my wishlist
i second that

Steve Reich - Different Trains vibes. Very cool, looking forward to giving this a go this evening! Cheers Os
Bro this is exactly what I do! I love sampling historic speeches over synth beats!
Great addition! Could be handy to have an option to switch a loop to half speed (octave down)
Same thoughts here.Varispeed would be a joy !
Btw. Don’t want to be only adding a “great BUT what if ..” this looper is already amazing!
@@HANGINGOUTWITHAUDIOPHILES There's already Augustus Loop if you want variable speed looping/delays.
@@ExpertSleepersLtd Yeah but we both know (obviously you since you designed it) that your Tape Speed algo on this disting ex is based on Augustus Loop.... so..... why not? Other than not wanting to cannibalize sales of the Augustus Loop.
@@saoirsepup I was referring to the Augustus Loop algorithm on the disting EX itself.
Also, I have added an octave down option for firmware v1.4.
I have an empty 8HP slot just waiting on this baby. When will it ship? I'd love to get one as soon as they're available. Can it be pitched?
A splice - sort of offset parameter would we great for looping or triggering different segments... is that currently possible in looper?
Not currently.
Mind. Blown.
I've never used a looper... Going to take some time to get my head around this algo........
TY Mr. Sleepers. I think I need this alongside my mk4. What is the fader module on top right? Cheers.
It's a faderfox UC4.
Amazing addition! Was just looking at looper pedals yesterday, and thinking it would be great if the EX had one!
Awesome! Will this also be available for the Disting Mk4?
No, this is just for the EX.
@@ExpertSleepersLtd Oh. Will there be any kind of looper for the Disting mk4 coming?
I really wish there was! A cv/gate looper
This doesn't sync to MIDI clock currently?
No, but it would be easily added. I'll make a note.
@@ExpertSleepersLtd btw: one shot record would be useful as well, like record 1/2/4 bars

Yes.
This is awesome
I might get to use it some day if my 5 week pre order of 2 ever get stocked and the es-8 I have preordered also
hello, love the mk4. is there any video on how to actually load samples into the sd card? I'm having a hard time understanding the process. cheerS!
There's no video - you just put WAV files in folders on the card. Visit the forum if you need help.

There's no 'undo' feature currently.

An other question.. The max audio length of a loop is 20 sec?
@@Limbic1000 Depends on the bit depth and whether you're using mono or stereo. 21s for mono 16 bit.

Yes I agree. I have this Disting and find the display is too small. Guess I’m just too old ;-)
