Hey folks, we're uploading this here for the benefit of the folks who weren't around in the stream. This clip is from Thursday and now that things have stabilized a bit we'd love for you to come check our our new in progress twitch extension. This is just the first stage of what we hope to be a really innovative extension that many streamers can use, which allows our community to represent themselves on stream with custom alerts, images, sounds etc and a lot more to come in the future.
We really see this as a big step in making the stream more fun - our chat has certainly been getting up to some nonsense over the last few days.

Those twitch sound alerts etc...is definitely something I HATE when they happen like spamming and trolling. That is why I never got into Twitch honestly and even in the VODs when they are not properly managed, it is unwatchable.
100% some vods or clips i watch make it unberable

Discord message sounds, windows usb unplug sounds, they even trolled mike with weakaura sounds when he was in a dungeon
For what it's worth, I don't mind being Mike's giant amalgamous ball.
The "chat" thing a lot of streamers and their communities do is pretty lame I agree.
I've seen streams where someone says something stupid and other people instantly start saying stupid things like "chat...." or "calm down chat".
Preach: _"I don't consider my audience - you guys - as an amalgamous ball that's referred to as 'chat'."_

Pretty nifty to go through all the extra work for the community to have this. As a very long time lurker who only recently has had the money for a sub. I really hope it all works out.

Regarding the whole "Chat" being a hivemind, I find that a lot of the time whenever streamers actually say that, the chat seems to start acting like one. Just something I noticed, but I don't think that applies to everyone

This was so funny to see during the TWW launch stream, absolutely fantastic feature
Man, I know this is really meant to be a good and pure thing but i cant help but think of all the trolls and scumbags that will absolutely abuse the system and ruin it for everyone who genuinely want to be seen/heard.
Audio and custom images need to be approved before use, so that should take care of bad actors in those regards.

I am so glad you said what you did about referring to the community as "chat". It does indeed seem very impersonal and i never like when streamers do that.
If Preach has patented this, I think he's just made generational wealth.

You might legitimately change twitch and how twitch streamers interact with their audience. This is awesome!!
For the love of god, put the live twitch chat on your youtube clips and vods. Literally every creator does it, it surely can't be that difficult! Preach is often talking about what chat is saying and we can't see any of it.
They use the Chat Replay extension but it is really hit or miss. For example there was one playthough series I was watching and one part was missing the log. People asked about it and got no response. Months later when I watched it I left a message asking about it. Months more later and still no response. I had to go watch the Twitch vod. I dislike Twitch.
And all of that is besides the problem of the extension requires using a web browser to watch. So no RUclips app on a phone, tablet, smart TV, etc. Which sucks.
Don't mind it but wish that the troll sounds were filtered. People shouldn't be allowed to do Teams, Discord or Windows sound. That's not adding personality it's just annoying.

Haven't gotten to catch a stream unfortunately, but it sounds *similar* to a new feature in CohhCarnage's stream, their Cohhvatars thing. Might be able to collective mindthink with any issues potentially. I love the idea a lot, kinda puts a face to each chatter, more than just a name and their color of name text.
This is not something that I will use/make, im not interested in a personalized twitch thing (despite not enjoying twitch in general, I suffer it to watch streamers I deem 'worth it' like yourself). That said, this is awesome and I hope the community has a blast with it.

I've been subbed on Twitch for around 10 years. I like this idea. I don't get to watch a lot of streams days. However, for me, the only thing I'd like is for my re-sub message to he acknowledged tbh. That'll do nicely for me Mike (if Mike even sees these?)

Nah your RUclips audience has been neglected and abused for many years. Focus on that and actually follow through please. We hear "oh blah blah here's what we will do blah blah RUclips will finally get some..........oh blah blah here's what we will do blah blah"
Agreed. 10 months ago we got a video about how "Preach Gaming is changing" and RUclips wouldn't be neglected anymore, and yet nothing changed and we still get just 1 or 2 videos per month at most.
I don't care about "FF week" or w/e. I've been subbed for 13 years for WoW RUclips content. This channel went downhill, hard, after Ghost left.
@@qwertypoiuy355fair enough, I don't care if it is wow or some other games. Some of my favorite preach streams were him playing little nightmares and other games like that and seeing him discover new shit. But he just let's the vods get deleted?!? Such a bad business move
We're doing as much as we can to focus on making quality content over on the main channel. The bigger videos do take a lot of research and editing so yes they are less frequent. We'll be a bit more mindful about doing simpler videos more often when its appropriate like we have for TWW release. Fact is though youtube isn't going to pay the bills since the ad revenue is so poor - Twitch is ultimately what funds our paychecks first and foremost.
@@TheChunkeyNinjalook. You guys have been saying that for like 5+ years. If you don't want to do RUclips, simply don't. But if you want to grow your audience, staying isolated on twitch and pissing out RUclips videos when it is easy will never work. Give up on the legacy videos (you already have let's be honest) quit with these big theatrical projects because all they are and have ever been on PG is an excuse as to why we can't even get VOD uploads of the new games mike plays on streams. It's insanity because y'all have an office albeit with all the troubles, I get it, but what do you need an office for when you do everything live? Edit videos, don't heavily edit them. I mean you don't even include the twitch chats so we have no clue who or what Mike is talking about half the time cus he is responding to some non-existent thing. Please please. Please. Pay attention and stop the "big projects" it used to be the reason Mike wouldn't upload guides "well the legacy vid that I never will release is taking too long" when in reality. Mike just didn't want to make guides for wow. No more excuses. Just be straightforward
