@@Roomy_21 well if you dont use tremolo and play with different tunes, go for it. definitely cheaper, more versatile, good Quantum pickups. (my another guitar is RG350dx with INF pickups, and its so metal). with fender champion amp, zoom multieffect and neck pickup, i can get that fenderisque tone :D

It plays so well und the satinneck feels insane! the picks are perfect for metal and rock, i prefer blues and hardrock and it also works with so many more styles. i just wish ibanez would have used lockings and a graph nut. i would pay these maybe 40 - 50 bucks more. then it would be just perfect! great demo, thy dude

Don't quote me on this but I think the last letters on the Ibanez models usually stand for the finish or type of bridge. FM =Flamed Maple, FR= Floyd Rose etc.
Right, so I'm at a loss for what to do. I have £350 to find a guitar that will be easy to mix with. I currently have a shitty £100 discontinued Flying V from an obscure company and no matter how much EQing, compression, or mixing I do, it sounds like complete trash lmao. I'm trying to decide between this guitar and the Schecter Omen 6. Can you honestly say that this guitar is worth the price?
Pulse/Krilium From my experience. You can't go wrong with this guitar. It's 100% worth the money and I personally have not found any downsides to it. Playability wise it plays like a dream and the sound I really like. If you have any questions. Please reply to this and I'll get back to you
Pulse/Krilium - I can't speak for the Schecter Omen as I haven't tried it, but I can say that the RG421 is a great guitar to play. I have one in white and it feels very easy to play. Build quality is excellent and although lots of people change the pups, I love the Quantums as there is so much tonal variety. Your budget of £350 is enough to buy the RG in weathered black (£249), white (£275) or flat black (£299) and still have change for an overdrive pedal. (All prices from Andertons).
I have an Omen 6. It's a decent guitar. Stock pickups are alright, I had those changed and I'm very happy with it. You should be able to find a cheaper second hand one, and have some money for some Irongear pickups.
They are great for metal but if you want some djenty stuff or some extra chugging i would recommend to change the bridge pickup with a seymour duncan or something similar

Yeah cause it's a fixed bridge. Whammy bars can be found on locking trems. Try SA260 or S520 or one of the GRG guitars
