Thanks for another great reaction! ‘Spring Day’ is what ARMY calls the Queen of BTS’ songs. It does have an official MV and is a reference to the Sewol Ferry tragedy that occurred in South Korea. The event was handled questionably by the government of the day. In order to understand all of the references BTS makes in the MV, it helps to watch an explanatory video. This song is still on the music charts in Korea and is a great song on its own. However, there is a much deeper meaning. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Spring Day our Queen. She keeps resurging up the charts over and over. Spring Day is so beloved in S Korea that she has never left the charts there since she was released in 2017. Both the universal message of grief, loss and hope that comforts so many people in the song, and the song's connection to the Sewol Ferry Disaster and the political movement which followed that brought down and imprisoned the sitting President of S Korea and many in her cabinet have made the song a sort of anthem in S Korea. It's close to the hearts of many and people often cry when it is played in public events.
This is what BTS does to you, they bring out the feelings that a lot of us hide and they make you embrace those feelings and with each song you start to love yourself a little more. They bring a smile to your face and make you feel good and remind you that there are still a lot of good and hope in the world, if we just start with a simple smile or a simple hello or thank you, this is why I love them so much
You guys are so cute 💜 i enjoy your reactions. I have to say, hearing 60k people singing the "whoa oh oh"'s along with bts was magical. (I saw them in La dec 2021) Im sure other ARMYs will explain spring day, so ill just add, even though yes its sad, its also supposed to convey hope. 💜
i suggest you watch the Festa Room Live 2021, they sing snippets of one song off each album they have up till 2021 and shows how versatile they are with their music and artistry :) i think you guys will enjoy it! :)
Dynamite was released during the pandemic to lift the spirits of not only armys but everyone. Tiny desk was filmed also during pandemic, spring day in this tiny desk concert was for armys who they miss seeing. That’s why i love bts because they create music with their heart and think about armys all the time💜💜💜

Spring Day, as some has said was dedicated to the Ferry Disaster in 2016.. It was originally written about missing a friend, but as the ferry incident unfurled, it transitioned into a song for SK, and the loneliness felt..

I really enjoy your reactions so much. Spring day is an extremely special song to BTS and many people in Korea. It has such a tragic story behind it that it does deserve its own explain video. Italian Army Explains Spring Day is the best one. I will warn that tissues will be needed.

As all have said, each of these songs has a music video that you should watch! Spring Day music vid should be watched alongside an Explanation Vid to get the total meaning. But I'm going to warn you -- if you cried just listening to it here, you're probably gonna need a lot of tissues when you watch the Explanation for it. Let's just put it this way: spring Day has never left the music charts in Korea since the debuted the song. That's how much it means to Korea. You'll love the Dynamite video, and I'd recommend watching live performances of it also. This Tiny Desk was filmed during Covid, if you didn't catch that, so a lot of the performances of Dynamite were LIVE, but there is no audience. Save Me vid is just cool - you'll see when you watch it. Regarding "the vibe" - They've been together officially for 10 years now, and were training together for quite a while before that and literally living all together MOST of that time, so, YES, they know how to perform and vibe with each other flawlessly.

BTS lived together for most of the last 10 years. They started out as 6 teenagers in one room plus Jin . Only Jin was 20. JK was 14( 15 Korean age because you are 1 at birth). JK says they raised him. If you want to watch their rags to riches story ...watch the highly entertaining TAYLOR MARI GUIDE TO THE BANGTAN 7. It is the only guide shows their relationship and why they are so close even though they were formed one member at a time.

These three songs were specifically chosen as mental health support songs because this was during 2020.
Dynamite was a pick-me-up that was a brand new song at the time which they released to help lift people's spirits.
Save Me was from their 2016 "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever" album and was also a song about reaching out a helping hand to lift each other up.
Spring Day was from their "You Never Walk Alone" album in 2017 and was written as a song about sadness and longing for those you miss or have lost (in one way or another) but also with a hopeful spirit for a better time to come, the Spring Day when the long winter of grief ends. The MV was dedicated to the Sewol Ferry Disaster victims and was also a very political statement, but the song itself was not. In this performance, all the songs are dedicated to ARMY, who they were missing terribly in lockdown, having their sold out world tour cancelled because of the pandemic. The relationship between BTS and ARMY is very much an interdependent one of mutual love and support.
