Crash Landing on You is a great K-drama. My advice as to BTS is to just enjoy watching BTS MVs, dance practices, and learn their songs before you dive into the award show performances. You’ll enjoy them more if you know the songs. And the explanation videos for Spring Day are very hard to watch. They involve a tragedy in Korea that will really shake you so just have fun for now while you get to know BTS and the deeper stuff will come in time. Remember that most BTS group songs that sound like love songs are usually written to ARMY, not a girlfriend. 🤗 Some of their solo stuff is about relationships but I’d save that for later. In actuallity, we dont choose our bias (favorites) they choose us lol! But like many have probably said the members can rotate for favorites every 3-4 business days lol. For K-Dramas I would recommend; Itaewon Class, The glory (more of a slow burn in the beginning but picks up real quick towards the later episodes), Business proposal, Crash Course in Romance, Twinkling Watermelon, Blood hounds, Run On, Signal, Taxi Driver, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, My name, Love in contract, Perfect Marriage Revenge, Move to Heaven, All of us are dead, and Weak Hero class...was that enough to start lol.

I highly recommend the NAVER version of V performing 3 songs live. They are Love Me Again, Rainy Days and Slow Dancing. You will have an out-of-body experience. CANNOT wait to hear your reaction. Make sure you have tissues nearby. It's not sad per se, but it is very emotional because V knows how to penetrate ARMYs hearts.

There actually is a BTS song called 'Home' and it's a fun jam. One of my personal faves actually. They did a performance on Jimmy Fallon's show (there was a BTS week where they got to do a live performance per day and they were all sooo good).

I was a brand new baby ARMY when I first saw this BTS Tiny Desk concert and it really solidified things for me. Firstly because I was unaccustomed to artists being able to replicate a high energy song like Dynamite. And to sound even better live, that blew me away. Next was to hear Save Me. NPR didn’t put the lyric subtitles until some time after this first aired. But I didn’t care, I felt what they were singing even though I didn’t understand all of what they were singing. That was a huge turning point for me as prior to that I liked BTS songs but wished they were in English. Now I couldn’t care less about it and actually hope they sing in whatever language they want; whether it’s Korean, English or Japanese. Just wait until you hear some of their Japanese tracks NaiyaBaiya, those are gorgeous songs. Lastly, the other thing that struck me about this Tiny Desk is that BTS is nothing like your other groups where the strengths vary. In those, you’d have 1, maybe 2 strong vocalists with the remaining ones relegated to essentially being back up singers. In BTS you have 4 equally strong vocalists - where 4 people could pick one each as the best and it would be hard not to agree. Same with the 3 rappers. Each strong with their own distinct charms. Who is best comes down to individual preferences.

They also have a bangtan bomb on filming the mv that shows how they were hiding behind the cameraman everything it was just super cute. Also they have a song that's linked to it that comes out a few years later called I'm Fine and you can play them back to back and they link up so perfectly it just scratches the brain in the best way. A kmovie I would recommend is “Train to Busan” it’s like a zombie apocalypse type but also has that family connection feels. Other than that some of the popular kdramas I would recommend that are romance would be “Strong Girl Bong Soon” and “Business Proposal”. They are available in Netflix as well!

Lots of great kdramas out there, here are a few suggestions. (I included a variety depending on your genre interests, and stuck to shows that are on Netflix for easy access.) 1. Crash Landing on You - great romance with a smoking hot male lead, good humor, a fun ensemble supporting cast, and some danger/suspense (this is a great first kdrama, watch at least two episodes before deciding if you want to quite or continue it) 2. Itaewon Class - revenge plot, found family themes, this is a really good one 3. It's Okay to Not Be Okay - basically a bunch of people working through their childhood traumas, this is an amazing show, but it will rip your heart to pieces and put it back together pretty much every single episode (I seriously can't recommend this one highly enough, the acting is amazing) 4. Vincenzo - corruption, mafia, revenge, an unlikely hero, a great ensemble cast 5. My Name - kickass female lead, trying to find the person who killed her father so she can take revenge 6. Extraordinary Attorney Woo - very funny and heartwarming 7. Hospital Playlist - your typical hospital drama about brilliant doctors, really great cast and a feel-good sort of show 8. Business Proposal - your quintessential romantic comedy 9.The King's Affection - if you're interested in a period drama, they almost always include lots of political palace drama, with deception and betrayal and power plays - this is a good one about the King being secretly a woman Enjoy!

I found them at a very dark time in my life and since then they have become one of the biggest sources of joy in my life. So happy to find a new member of our Army community. 💜

Love this! This was during Covid, which is why it was "at home" and RM was talking about the worse summer ever. (also he's amazing so I don't blame you for loving him XP) If you want more of Save Me, I highly recommend watching both the music video and then the behind the scenes!! The MV is a one-shot video, and you get to see in the behind the scenes the horrible weather and conditions they had to do it in. For the music video shooting, a channel called Bangtan Subs has it with English subtitles, as the official one doesn't! Also just curious, why did you skip parts of the video? Was it because of copyright or something?

These live performances were done during Covid when they couldn't do concerts. Two highly rated and popular videos to watch are Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix and On Kinetic Manifesto. Both showcase the many different styles of their music. Prepare yourself for these 2 videos. One of my concert favorites is when the vocal line performs Dimple followed by Pied Piper. I mention Dimple because you loved RM's dimples. He wrote this song about himself. Dimple is immediately followed by Pied Piper with all 7 members. Pied Piper is addressed to the Army. (and JIMIN has always been my bias wrecker). Bias - Favorite Bias Wrecker - Member that questions your Bias choice. OT7 - One True 7 - you love and support all seven. Baby ARMY - until you know their names by their faces and vocals, and you are confident that you love and support all seven, and have more knowledge of their discography. Basically, when you say you are ARMY, there isn't a specific test or anything.
So many RUclipsrs don't seem to realize that when they place the video screens at the bottom of the window, and rightly have the CC/subs button clicked on so the reactor and we can read them, that when we pause to check a detail or catch up on the subbed lyrics, they are hidden behind paused stuff at the bottom, like play, timeline, volume, autoplay, settings, full screen, etc . And it's always better to have a larger video screen so we can see the individuals, action, staging and read the CC. We don't watch to see details in the reactor's room.
I love your reaction to the boys! Another live to watch is Festa 2021, they sing parts of 7 or 8 songs. For music videos I would recommend, "ON, kinetic manifesto," "Fire," "Mic Drop, Steve Aoki remix" "Black Swan," and "Idol." They are some of my favorites but I could list another dozen easy. Unlike other artists their live music is better than the music videos, so you will probably love anything live. That is the only way to hear their B-sides which are absolutely amazing. I would recommend "The Truth Untold," "Anpanman," "Ddaeng," "Silver Spoon," and "Crystal Snow." Again I could list a dozen, easy. Some of the songs have explanation videos that can be helpful to pick up on the cultural references, Korean language word play, and background. The music video to "Spring Day," which was in this set has a very deep and tragic backstory that makes me ugly cry every time I see it. They all have solo work that is amazing and very different from their group music and each other. There are literally hundreds of songs to pick from and love. 💜💜💜
I know you were kinda joking with "next is a concert" but if you want you could watch J-hope on Lollapalooza performing songs from his album and mixtape. He was the headliner there and it was the best live performance I've seen of anybody in all time. It was that good. Although for now, the 2019 MAMA live show that the others are recommending is also super great. BTS actually has a Kdrama called Begins Youth. It's follows the storyline in their MVs. You should watch the MVs and stuff before watching the show though or you'll be confused

Spring Day is their most infamous song for such serious reasons, but it's a long and horrific story, so better to wait before delving into that-there is plenty of time for that. The artist Song So Hee did an absolutely haunting version of this song. I believe her genre is traditional Korean music that has the yodel/vibrato sound. In actuallity, we dont choose our bias (favorites) they choose us lol! But like many have probably said the members can rotate for favorites every 3-4 business days lol. For K-Dramas I would recommend; Itaewon Class, The glory (more of a slow burn in the beginning but picks up real quick towards the later episodes), Business proposal, Crash Course in Romance, Twinkling Watermelon, Blood hounds, Run On, Signal, Taxi Driver, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, My name, Love in contract, Perfect Marriage Revenge, Move to Heaven, All of us are dead, and Weak Hero class...was that enough to start lol.

I highly recommend the NAVER version of V performing 3 songs live. They are Love Me Again, Rainy Days and Slow Dancing. You will have an out-of-body experience. CANNOT wait to hear your reaction. Make sure you have tissues nearby. It's not sad per se, but it is very emotional because V knows how to penetrate ARMYs hearts.

There actually is a BTS song called 'Home' and it's a fun jam. One of my personal faves actually. They did a performance on Jimmy Fallon's show (there was a BTS week where they got to do a live performance per day and they were all sooo good).

I was a brand new baby ARMY when I first saw this BTS Tiny Desk concert and it really solidified things for me.
Firstly because I was unaccustomed to artists being able to replicate a high energy song like Dynamite. And to sound even better live, that blew me away.
Next was to hear Save Me. NPR didn’t put the lyric subtitles until some time after this first aired. But I didn’t care, I felt what they were singing even though I didn’t understand all of what they were singing. That was a huge turning point for me as prior to that I liked BTS songs but wished they were in English. Now I couldn’t care less about it and actually hope they sing in whatever language they want; whether it’s Korean, English or Japanese. Just wait until you hear some of their Japanese tracks NaiyaBaiya, those are gorgeous songs.
Lastly, the other thing that struck me about this Tiny Desk is that BTS is nothing like your other groups where the strengths vary. In those, you’d have 1, maybe 2 strong vocalists with the remaining ones relegated to essentially being back up singers. In BTS you have 4 equally strong vocalists - where 4 people could pick one each as the best and it would be hard not to agree. Same with the 3 rappers. Each strong with their own distinct charms. Who is best comes down to individual preferences.
We got another Namjoon bias 🤭I'm loving coming on this journey with you babes 💜you should definetly check out the Save Me mv if you like it so much hehe. The choreography is amazing and the mv is in one take which is awesome too! That has been one of my favorites since I first became an Army in 2018! They also have a bangtan bomb on filming the mv that shows how they were hiding behind the cameraman everything it was just super cute. Also they have a song that's linked to it that comes out a few years later called I'm Fine and you can play them back to back and they link up so perfectly it just scratches the brain in the best way. They also have a stage performance of both of those back to back as well.

A kmovie I would recommend is “Train to Busan” it’s like a zombie apocalypse type but also has that family connection feels. Other than that some of the popular kdramas I would recommend that are romance would be “Strong Girl Bong Soon” and “Business Proposal”. They are available in Netflix as well!

Lots of great kdramas out there, here are a few suggestions. (I included a variety depending on your genre interests, and stuck to shows that are on Netflix for easy access.)
1. Crash Landing on You - great romance with a smoking hot male lead, good humor, a fun ensemble supporting cast, and some danger/suspense (this is a great first kdrama, watch at least two episodes before deciding if you want to quite or continue it)
2. Itaewon Class - revenge plot, found family themes, this is a really good one
3. It's Okay to Not Be Okay - basically a bunch of people working through their childhood traumas, this is an amazing show, but it will rip your heart to pieces and put it back together pretty much every single episode (I seriously can't recommend this one highly enough, the acting is amazing)
4. Vincenzo - corruption, mafia, revenge, an unlikely hero, a great ensemble cast
5. My Name - kickass female lead, trying to find the person who killed her father so she can take revenge
6. Extraordinary Attorney Woo - very funny and heartwarming
7. Hospital Playlist - your typical hospital drama about brilliant doctors, really great cast and a feel-good sort of show
8. Business Proposal - your quintessential romantic comedy
9.The King's Affection - if you're interested in a period drama, they almost always include lots of political palace drama, with deception and betrayal and power plays - this is a good one about the King being secretly a woman

Love this! This was during Covid, which is why it was "at home" and RM was talking about the worse summer ever. (also he's amazing so I don't blame you for loving him XP) If you want more of Save Me, I highly recommend watching both the music video and then the behind the scenes!! The MV is a one-shot video, and you get to see in the behind the scenes the horrible weather and conditions they had to do it in. For the music video shooting, a channel called Bangtan Subs has it with English subtitles, as the official one doesn't! Also just curious, why did you skip parts of the video? Was it because of copyright or something?

So many RUclipsrs don't seem to realize that when they place the video screens at the bottom of the window, and rightly have the CC/subs button clicked on so the reactor and we can read them, that when we pause to check a detail or catch up on the subbed lyrics, they are hidden behind paused stuff at the bottom, like play, timeline, volume, autoplay, settings, full screen, etc
. And it's always better to have a larger video screen so we can see the individuals, action, staging and read the CC.

I love your reaction to the boys! Another live to watch is Festa 2021, they sing parts of 7 or 8 songs. For music videos I would recommend, "ON, kinetic manifesto," "Fire," "Mic Drop, Steve Aoki remix" "Black Swan," and "Idol." They are some of my favorites but I could list another dozen easy. Unlike other artists their live music is better than the music videos, so you will probably love anything live. That is the only way to hear their B-sides which are absolutely amazing. I would recommend "The Truth Untold," "Anpanman," "Ddaeng," "Silver Spoon," and "Crystal Snow." Again I could list a dozen, easy. Some of the songs have explanation videos that can be helpful to pick up on the cultural references, Korean language word play, and background. The music video to "Spring Day," which was in this set has a very deep and tragic backstory that makes me ugly cry every time I see it. They all have solo work that is amazing and very different from their group music and each other. There are literally hundreds of songs to pick from and love. 💜💜💜

He was the headliner there and it was the best live performance I've seen of anybody in all time. It was that good. Also for this song(Spring Day), RM has stated he wrote the song about missing friends but the MV was created, as mentioned below, to be a statement about the Sewol Ferry tragedy in South Korea.
And though it's not specifically BTS, a Korean network called KBS has a yearly series called "Immortal Songs" where famous Korean singers of different genres sing popular songs and cover them in their particular genre. in 2020, the series was honoring Pdogg who is BTS's main producer so the theme was several of the songs he produced for BTS, one of which was Spring Day. The artist Song So Hee did an absolutely haunting version of this song. I believe her genre is traditional Korean music that has the yodel/vibrato sound.
